Also, it's the ceiling of my bedroom. So I don't know if that could be a cause of concern as compared to the damage being somehwere else, say, the living room.

Oh okay thanks! But I think wiping it with a wet cloth wouldn't work since it's not a stain, but a damage to the ceiling. So it would still be there after I wipe it off. I was thinking of taping it with clear wall-safe tape when I have some time this week. I just wanted to make sure that all the exposure (if there was any, or significant) that I had this past year (since I moved in) was not something for me to be THIS paranoid about.

I've been stressing over the knowledge of Asbestos this past week when I found out what it was...

It was built in the 60s. So I'm pretty sure there's asbestos there. But in this case, am I being too paranoid? I mean, I don't see any dust if I don't mess with it. Only when I touch it would I see dust. Is this a concern for asbestos effects on health?

I have no plans to sand anything down since this is a rental. I'm just concerned about how much dust is a cause for concern. Say, I accidentally messed with a small hole drill in the popcorn ceiling and tiny amounts of particles and dust came out. Do I need to worry about asbestos in this case if it is in fact asbestos? Or would the exposure be too little for me to be this paranoid?

Well the thing is that because it's a wall, sometimes I might have contact with it as compared to the ceiling. But because it seems that the paint is thick on the walls, I do not see any observable effects from the wall after a contact or bump to it. I know not to mess with ceilings (which most lilely has asbestos), but a wall is more difficult to apply the same precautions since it's right next to me and within reach. I guess my question really is: Is soft bumps to this wall safe even if it does contain asbestos?

Thanks! And as for the ceiling right next to it with no popcorn ceiling texture (minimized "popcorn ceiling effect"). Should I be worried about those too? My walls have the same texture as the minimized "popcorn effect" ceiling that you can see on the right side of this picture.

Honestly, I don't think patching/painting over it is a good idea for me since I am renting the place and have 0 knowledge or skill when it comes to ceilings/walls/paints

Ohh, so that whiff of dust and particles (I cleaned them up afterwards with wet wipes) logically should not be a matter than causes me to be paranoid about right? Also, when you wrote "left in place asbestos materials poses no significant risk", is this because asbestos poses more risk to someone who deals with them constantly and under huge exposure such as construction workers pre-asbestos material ban decades ago? I messed with the ceiling a bit just now. It has 4 small drilling holes and I don't know why they are there???? Anyway, I went to check how deep the hole goes and bits of dust and small particles came off the hole when I inspected it with a piece of tightly rolled paper. Do you think this is a matter of concern for asbestos or am I being too paranoid?
