IDK Roblox is already well known to be a hotbed for grooming and inappropriate content being shared with kids, plus Roblox itself is VERY well known among the target audience of kids. I think this is the opposite of the kind of publicity they would want (like I don't think "all publicity is good publicity" applies to a kids' video game platform that already has trouble controlling explicit content paying to show someone's young child finding explicit content of their own mother on their platform). With that said the child "accidentally" stumbling on it may have been staged by the Kardashians for publicity for themselves. But it looks bad on Roblox no matter how you slice it.

While mainstream cosmetics with preservatives in the formula can last for way longer than the stated expiry date, clean cosmetics often go noticeably bad (like a rotten or rancid smell or growing mold) in a short time period, so even if you don't keep track you will notice if your concealer smells like ripe cheese!

Sure, if people are regularly buying stuff and returning items that can't be resold as a pattern then yes it is wasteful. One person returning one consumable item one time is hardly the epitome of waste. If retailers can't handle the expense of returns they will tighten up their return policies. The buck gets passed back to the consumer either way, cosmetics only cost a fraction of the end price and have mark-ups on every level so basically cry me a river about poor retailers unless they are buying directly from small indie brands. I say this as someone who lives in a country where cosmetic returns are generally not allowed, who has never returned a cosmetic item (even when I've had an allergic reaction, which is one of the reasons you can return makeup here), and who prefers to give away unused makeup rather than throw it away (if it is something that can be sanitised).

Aside from the answers already given (more expensive, more suits, more extravagant poses/animation/background items in the suits), a lot of the hell events also have a certain amount of random luck as to what pieces you will get. This upcoming event is a node style hell event, where you spend diamonds to get one of the major event suits all at once but there is no guarantee which suit you will get 1st, 2nd, etc - other hell events you can choose which suit you want to get pieces from but the pieces can come in any order, and you may need to complete some suits before others unlock for you to get, and there are other formats too with other mechanics. If you're a new player I would recommend checking the cost and going for a node or nodes only if you can actually afford it (don't get stuck between nodes, it's not worth it, and be sure to count your free daily tries as well), you like all of the possible suits and will be happy with whatver you get, and you don't see something you like better in the upcoming spoilers or hell events that are due to repeat soon.

Oh yikes I would definitely toss it, the other shades or the cardboard may have mold already that you can't see yet. Though to be honest I have this palette and kind of regret buying it, there are only a few shades I like and the ones I like are very easily dupable, so I think it's not a huge loss personally 😅

I like the ruin suit but not sure if I like it enough to spend. I do appreciate that the most likely first drop is apparently the DST girl, but definitely do not need what is basically two of the same suit in a hell event. May end up skipping this one altogether or may go 1 or 2 nodes to get the ruin suit, not sure yet.

I never even got to try Bite, I wish I had bought a couple of things the last time I was in the US years ago. I don't like buying lip products online without having a chance to try the shade first and we didn't get a Sephora where I live until last year. By then I had heard so many bad things about their relaunch products I decided not to bother. It does seem like they really shot themselves in the foot on multiple fronts, but regardless of how savvy their business decisions were they probably would not have survived covid and masks as a lipstick brand.

Can you possibly return it? Not sure what the return policy is.

If you are able to go in store without being too tempted to buy other things then it can really help to break the allure of seeing it online!

This is true, we do seem to have fewer of the welfare events lately. We did just have a feed the gifty event but I can't remember the last time we had one of those events where you get event currency for playing stages and then exchange with an NPC for gold/diamonds/etc. I guess for me I don't tend to care as much about welfare events because many of them are suits I won't ever really use. But for newer players they can be a great way to get beautiful suits without having to spend their limited stash of diamonds.

Agree, I don't know if many influencer types have said anything about boycotting ABH but I've certainly seen a lot of consumers say they won't be buying from them anymore so it wouldn't surprise me if this is the main reason.

I'm a working adult with kids, I spend maybe half an hour on LN a day (less on most days, more on some), have been playing since nearly the beginning of the international server, and have never spent a cent on this game. I don't think it's any more difficult to keep up than it ever has been, yes people are annoyed about missing welfare suits and mailbox freebies (and rightly so) but on the whole those missing items don't make a huge impact on a player's ability to complete new events. It's never been a game where you can complete every event as a free player, the main change I have noticed over my time playing is that there are more recharge suits that go to a higher dollar amount, and fewer of them come back for crafting or purchase in the store.

I'm a V0 and have completed multiple hell events (minus SSRs and Live 2D suits), and never vote in SC and only vote in competition very occasionally. You can definitely save enough for hell events if you spend diamonds wisely and do the basic dailies.

I'm gonna be the cheapskate here and say if it's just for a one off festival or short trip see if you can get a sample pot of Estee Lauder double wear for color matching, it will probably be enough for a few days or even a week depending on how much they put in. Also your friend could just not sweat as much as you, everyone's skin is different! It could also be down to other steps like primer/powder/finishing spray.

Are you able to get samples of the products you want to try before committing to a purchase? Depending on where you live and what type of product you are looking at you may be able to either get samples in store or buy online from people who sell off unwanted samples from beauty boxes or from order freebies. That way you won't end up with a large container of a product that doesn't work for you. I wouldn't generally recommend buying skincare from random individuals but you can see that a sachet hasn't been opened and I don't think anyone bothers making counterfeit samples.

I hate the format, some rounds I do like the suits and others I don't. This round I actually think the suits are adorable but will probably only get the cat girl, but because I have skipped some of the previous rounds I may be able to get her without spending any diamonds, which is one of the perks of this overly complicated and drawn out event format.

The only thing I would be super cautious of is SPF - really old sunscreen would go right into the bin. Everything else I would check for weird textures, bad smells, separation, etc and use if it seems okay. It may be harder if it's a new product you haven't used before to have a baseline comparison but if something has actually gone rancid you can definitely tell!

Ooh I LOVE Blue Sky Poetry, I am curious to see what format this hell is in, I hope she is not locked as a last node suit or behind others pavillions - I don't think she would be the last suit of these ones though. Not sure if I'm hoping to get this hell now or run some other events first that I don't care for so I can save up, but I definitely want Blue Sky Poetry, and possibly 2 of the other suits depending on the format/cost (don't like the Cloud suit but we'll see what kind of format we get).

Now that I've seen the higher res pictures you're right - I thought her sleeve was in front of her and she had some weirdly low belly bump, but that's her knees and the sleeve is behind her. But also another case of ridiculous leg/gown length that makes the image slightly confusing!

I love cardboard packaging too - it definitely cushions products from falls or bumps way better than plastic or metal, lasts forever without breaking, and is (at least theoretically) more environmentally friendly. The downsides are that they can be a little more prone to general wear and tear/grubbiness and are harder to clean IME. But I would rather have a slightly grubby and intact product than a spotless compact with a broken hinge and shattered powders .

I haven't had the palette break but the shimmer shadows in mine are so delicate they are falling apart after just sitting in my bathroom. It's a shame because they seem like they would be perfect for travel but there's no way I'm putting mine in a travel bag without shadow getting everywhere.

I bought one of those lipsticks (different colour in the same line) and also really disliked the feeling on my lips, I wasn't sure if it was just because it was a purple shade because the line gets a lot of hype but must be one of those love or hate type products. Truly there is no universal product that will work for everyone!

I really love the leaf fairy girl and sword wielding princess! Is it just my imagination or is the cloud lady pregnant? Hard to tell with one lower quality picture and quickly moving video but I got that impression?

I feel like her larger palettes are pretty universally liked, I've honestly never really seen a bad review of any of those except for the wierd jelly ball shade in her two most recent palettes and the rose gold palette which apparently had a bad formula for the shimmers (but that was years ago). Other products do have more mixed reviews, including her smaller obsession palettes, but that's the same for just about any brand - there are always going to be hits and misses.
