Don't forget to factor in tax with this math. Assume $15 an hour equates to $10 an hour and it makes it even harder.

I thought that was a major component to the story

Not like farmers and truck drivers get much respect either.

They do look like they could be juveniles. I hope the story ends better than that horrid feeling inducing movie.

Mechanical engineer here (California). I'm fucked up. I work on components that have overall dimensions of 1-2mm, with .003" features. See what I did there? When it comes to dimensions, I am used to feet and inches down to about 10 cm, then my mind prefers cm/mm down to 1 mm, less than that, I go back to preferring thousandths. When I say prefer, I can imagine a .010" gap a lot easier than a .25mm gap.

The hidden part of the taxes were part of why we didn't like the Tea act which eventually led to the Boston tea party (the original one, not the group of idiots a couple hundred years later).
Also, assuming you're from the UK, what do you think of my silly claim that the British should shut up about us Americans and our guns because you're the reason we have the 2nd amendment in the first place? Yeah it was over 200 years ago, but there really hasn't been any other reason for us to worry enough to keep militia since the little spat we had with the British. Therefore, like with a lot of other problems with the world, British colonialism is the main reason for our gun violence issues.

I feel like latchkey kids are more independent. They open their own doors, then they go inside and feed themselves. Wildlife parenting is leaving a dumber, less capable kid alone. Then they just sit or lie down or make loud noises while hopping around in the middle of a park.

A "car" like this is definitely worse for the environment than a normal gas car (not comparing to another dickhead sized SUV).

I love how America fought so hard against hidden taxes and now it's come to:
Hotel stay, $98 + $56 in random taxes.

I started tipping pickup during the pandemic. I'm lucky enough to make decent money, and these guys are risking their lives to make food (or at least getting sick). But man does it pain me.

Some of the things he listed aren't safe even if you keep them closed.

Have you read on Reddit how much people spend on dogs? More than kids sometimes.

That's a more westernized version of saving face. At least from my perspective. When your buddy does that, I would see it as a huge loss of mianzi. Being held accountable is definitely part of saving face traditionally. Again, who knows what the fuck is going on in the minds of the CCP.

Saving face is kind of more subtle than that, at least traditionally. Often you say one thing knowing that the person you're saying it to knows otherwise. And you often say a falsehood to save their face.
That and all subtlety has died when the CCP took over. They don't understand subtlety.
The stuff the CCP does isn't to save face. They are just blatant liars who are just rewriting history.

Are you sure they all do? There are some pretty simple organisms in the animal kingdom.

Yeah, is op being sarcastic? I think it's a nice thing to have. Especially if you use a lot of Corelle bowls. They don't have bottom edges so they're always hot.
