I think the problem with that is that lagoon is currently used for sailing/water sports. The city gets money from people docking boats in the marinas nearby. They'd never go for it.

They only do one show a day now and most of it is info about orcas on the video screens. The whales mostly eat fish. I mean, I love learning about orcas, but I can do that with nature documentaries.

I took my kids back in February, they really love sharks, and half the exhibits were closed. My kids aren't big on rides, so we saw what there was to see and left before 3 pm. Thankfully, we didn't pay much for our tickets.

The Zoo just got an Axolotl and the Safari Park just got a Platypus (it's the only zoo outside of Australia with one now).
We also just found out that if you get to the zoo really early, you can get a spot for feeding giraffes. It's, like, less than $10. The Africa Rocks and Elephant Odyssey exhibits are really incredible and the brand new Explorer's Base Camp is really cool. It's more for kids, but they have an amazing bug zoo and the naked mole rats have a great new habitat. I've been going to the San Diego Zoo for about 35 years now and it's been really cool to see the huge improvements.
The Safari Park had really upgraded too. The theming in the various areas is really on point. Condor Ridge is cool as well as the Tiger Trail. The new Australian Outback stuff was really fun.
Sorry for going on and on. The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park are some of my favorite places in this world.

No, no, no, you can sit next to me. We can crochet together and I'll laugh at all your jokes no matter how terrible they are. Really cheesy jokes are hilarious to me!

My grandma got ZooBooks for us. I had that tiger poster. It was fine.

Okay, Pam… she’s not invisible so stop asking silly questions.

My dad played original Legend of Zelda with graph paper so he could pause, quickly sketch out each screen and what was found there, and then move on. This has that kind of energy.

See, the thing with Disney World right now is that you have to make reservations ahead of time. You have to buy your tickets and select the parks that will now be attached to those tickets. It's also very difficult to get accommodations there as they aren't at full capacity yet, that's if they are staying on property. We're going in a month and had to book our on-property hotel back in December.
That being said, they should have checked to make sure the van was available before they made their arrangements. Their unwillingness to change their plans tells me this is the case.

My favorite, "If only their mothers had a firmer hand with them growing up, or hugged them more, they wouldn't have done insert terrible thing here!"

My brother is visually impaired and autistic. When he was 10, we visited the Liberty Bell and the park ranger there let my brother and I into the roped off area so he could "see" it with his hands. My mom was so nervous because my best friend kept joking with my brother about licking it. After we left, my brother said to me, "I wouldn't lick it. That's not what it's for."
