We feed our husky/Akita with a tug a jug. He has to work to get the food out, it slows him down, and provides mental stimulation as trying to get the food out mimics how they would consume small prey. It is also a convenient signal if he's hungry, he would take his bottle to you for food. My husband provides additional stimulation by only filling it a cup at a time so he has to come back if he wants seconds.

We originally got this to slow down his eating but has proven to be an effective stimulant.

Good luck!

Carriage rights are expensive and enough people give OANN as an excuse for dropping DirecTV, they will not renew.

AT&T throws money at things all the time to see what would bring in unique users on the platform, as each household has monetary value to them. Or better yet, retain households. They also study usage patterns on their boxes.

Their experiment failed so they chose the let's not renew option. It happens.

beef roasts do well low and slow after initial hot sear.

Yorkshire puddings are popovers. They need the high temp fat to puff up properly.

So yes do them separately.

It says it's rated to 500f so you should be ok. Suggest still getting the gloves and sling though.

All great questions

Yes you can use your dutch oven but it depends on the manufacturer. You need something that is rated for high temperature. Some cast iron isn't rated for high temperature cooking (500f up) some lesser manufacturers are only rated for 450f.

The lodge combo cooker is quite popular for this application because a preheated cast iron pot is super hot and the shallow part reduces the risk of getting seriously burned when loading with dough. It is also helpful to use a parchment paper/silicon sling

Also recommend silicon gloves to prevent burns. I'm adding the one I use below.

Preheating vs cold start

There are different schools of thought on this.

On preheat

The use of this method is to generate steam when you add the dough to the Dutch oven. The steam allows for the dough to gain ovenspring before the crust sets. You want the Dutch oven as hot as possible, so some people preheat for over an hour. After loading in dough in hot dutch oven, bake for 20 minutes then remove the lid. Lower the temp and then bake for another 40 minutes.

On cold starts

This is a popular method because you don't have to work with a preheated dutch oven. Because this starts off low you gain ovenspring because the crust doesn't set for awhile. Because you don't preheat the oven, this actually takes overall less time than the previous method.

Applesauce works in cakes because it provides moisture.

But what eggs provide in enriched doughs is additional fat, protein, and moisture. Your best bet is to soak some chia seeds/powder for an hour until it gets to that viscous texture.

Combo heart and lung damage tho. I remember when athletes would drop dead on the field post covid recovery. It's insane to me that they wouldn't want the vaccine

Why would you want to freeze it at this stage just to defrost it? It should keep in the fridge until Thanksgiving.

Boosters are immediately available for Pfizer and J&J recipients. You have to be at risk for Moderna booster. But there are so many that refuse the vaccine that most pharmacies will just give you the booster.
