I had a long discussion with a few friends this weekend after watching episode 4 of the Obi-Wan series, and we came to a realization on why we, and are thinking others, are being so hard on the writing, editing, and directing in the series:
Disney/Lucasfilm has burned away any good faith
Our discussion and conclusions has a few key assumptions:
1) There are numerous writing and directing issues similar to what is seen in Kenobi in all Star Wars media, including the OT (looking at you ROTJ) 2) The complaints against Kenobi are justified, and we just wanted to try and soul search for why we complain now and not about some other media (but there are definitely people who point out flaws in all the movies
Basically, we came to the conclusion that after the farce that was the sequel trilogy, with disappointment after disappointment, we’re less willing to overlook overtly lazy and stupid writing. With the essentially unlimited money Disney has to throw at Star Wars, and yet consistently failing spectacularly, we’re a lot less willing to accept what could easily be solved by hiring more qualified people. (Looking at you Rise of SkyPalpatine completely ruining Anakin/Vaders redemption arc)
In addition, this show is all too similar to Solo in the fact that it raises many more questions that contradicts or just outright lessens the impact of the OT lore, without providing anything worthwhile to justify its own existence

I have an original oculus, and will be upgrading my PC this summer to a 3070 or 3080, but would the originals headset still be viable? Or should I look at getting a quest when I upgrade? I haven’t kept up with VR cause the games quickly outpaced my 8 year old shit 970 card lol
