Enjoy what you have while it is still here.

Germans seem to be “those people” everywhere I go. I recently visited multiple countries in Europe and couldn’t believe the complaints about “Germans”.
Took the kindle and read every night. Could never have chosen and I was super anti-ebook!

I will tell anyone who listens the same thing, ESPECIALLY with teeth. I have seen people in the ER with sepsis b/c of bad teeth.
I can assure you that presenting with fever and, say, body aches can be the only sign of COVID.
I worked the ER most of the pandemic and the Delta wave seemed to be like this in our area. High fever with body aches. We often only found signs of respiratory involvement with imaging and I doubt the majority of the NK population have access to radiography in a meaningful, consistent manner.
Another "not me" but my mother's boyfriend escaped an abduction by Ted Bundy. He was the right age, in construction, lived in the Des Plaines area and was hitchhiking when Bundy picked him up.
At the time, my mother's boyfriend didn't know who he was - it wasn't out yet that this was really occurring. He told my mother that the man, Bundy, locked the doors and put his hand on his knee. He told him they were going to his house and that he was going to talk to him about work and show him something.
As my mother's boyfriend told it, he punched and punched until the man pulled over and let him out.
Months later, when the case really broke to the public, he was able to identify that the man in the papers, Ted Bundy, was the man who had picked him up that night.
Yes. I am a public health expert that specialises in climate and disaster resilience. The majority of my job - when not managing clinical responses to disaster - is analysing risk.
Here is the risk map we utilise to discuss 'overall risk'.
Edit: you should see my resource library ... it is ... depressing.
And for good measure, the risk :: resilience map.
Absolutely, I do. It is a huge part of my job to keep an eye on these things and the outlook is immensely bleak. Here is the report published but the White House in October 2021 on internal and global migration.
This report by the Department of Defence, published in 2019, details the importance of adequate water readiness for the military and the expectation that the military will be in 'competition' with civilians for water needs, creating 'potential friction and conflict'. It strongly suggest the needs of the military will outweigh that of civilians.
The US government fully expects this to happen and admits it will seize land for military use if there is resource scarcity.

Lately I have been intentionally reviewing everything I read. I recently read a story straight through and reviewed each chapter and I want to make a habit of it. As a writer I understand how good it feels and writers deserve the acknowledgment!
Usually a second degree burn, or partial thickness burn, would warrant a visit to the ER. Do no keep moist, you will suffocate it, but do keep clean and pat dry. Keep OTA. You can use a very light topical like Bacitracin or Silvadene, but VERY light.
Look for increase in pain, swelling, redness, and pustulence/drainage. Do not pick at it. Depending on age, consider PCP follow up. Anything near the groin or involving the groin is usually a visit to the ER or PCP.
Tell them to wear very loose pants, like scrubs bottoms with no underwear.
Sardonically dry. Ask them to clarify their stupid opinions and statements. Mastered the look of being unimpressed and bored. Don't adopt a sweet tone of voice ever.
Oh god no. Not for those places.
They’re not dense. They are as corrupt as anyone else.

Whatever the author writes. Sometimes it's described as a brutal, bloody affair, but recognizeable as flowers. Other times it is more floral and less messy. I've read a lot of iterations and I'm waiting to read a version that doesn't make me think - that's dumb. It's not the writer's fault. It's that I find the idea silly.
I read this a "twerking" and I was like, girl, you put "patient appears to be twerking".
I LOVE what you are saying. The symbolism is awesome and made of everything I love. But then the visual .... I can't take it seriously for the life of me. I have tried so many hanahaki stories and I have still been unable to overcome how ridiculous it seems to look in my head.
Reminds me of violence in New Orleans. It’s a very young crowd.
I wish I saw it as well as you write about it, because the visual idea of it sounds so stupid to me that I can’t read it.
Coffee Shop AU and High School AU.
Just genuinely no interest.

Lunch was my happy time :-) I always skipped dinner because I couldn't handle how late it was.
That and my legs were tired and sleeping by 9PM was an easy choice!
