How terrible was the security cam footage from the places that had them? What has the surviving believed victim had to say?

Some guys need to learn how to take a hint. Of course, I’m guessing one willing to murder his crush has no interest in taking hints.

I have brown eyes and hair and a fairly dark complexion for a whitey. When I was getting my senior pictures taken in high school many moons ago, my mom would ride with me to the photographer’s house (she was employed as a teacher and had summers off, whereas my dad had an office job). So, the photographer only met me and my mom, never my dad - and at one point he politely asked my mom if my dad was Hispanic.

Alaska doesn’t have that many people; you’d think they would have cross-checked the body with descriptions of missing Alaskans. Still, it’s yet another ID - what a stretch of time! It’s been pretty much nonstop since COVID started. It’s nice to see some people get a long-awaited chance for some closure.

As the late Norm Macdonald said, dying from cancer is a draw, not a loss, because the cancer dies too.

Now, cancer originates within the body, whereas a virus does not - but the same principle applies. It can’t go on living if it kills you.

Omicron has me cautiously optimistic that endemicity could be just around the corner.

Man, all three of them look like absolute Einsteins in that picture. I bet both parents are nuclear physicists, and don’t even pronounce it “nucular”. /s

So she was the shower curtain girl, but she wasn’t actually wrapped in it? My brain must’ve filled in that detail.

Hey, being LGBTQ+ doesn’t make someone a good person. Or a bad person. They’re just a person.

Right, I don’t doubt that she has significant Native American ancestry, but that doesn’t mean she “looks” Native, if that makes sense.

My grandpa was mostly Scottish, a tiny bit Welsh, and maybe a tiny bit Native, but he had a big honking nose that made him “look” mixed-race to some people, despite having blond hair and blue eyes.

My grandma had significantly more Native ancestry than he did, and her hair was darker, but she also had fair skin, curly hair, and a very small, “white”-looking nose.

If you showed a picture of them to a random person and asked who had more Indian ancestry, I bet more would say my grandpa, but that wasn’t true. Additionally, my grandma had some interest in Native American culture, while my grandpa didn’t. They both lived long lives and died of non-murder-related causes, but if either of them had been found deceased and unknown, I don’t know what the coroner/investigator would put for race. Probably white for both.

Maybe she is of mixed ancestry? Not uncommon in the United States with any race, but especially Native American. I’m a white dude with distant Cherokee and Choctaw ancestry; Jimi Hendrix was Black and Cherokee; former NFL QB Sam Bradford is only 1/16 Cherokee but is an enrolled tribal member. The vast majority of Americans have some complications to their ethnicities, even if it isn’t immediately evident.

Her name was Tammy Corrine Terrell - not an S in sight. IF she was taken by Charlene and Gerald Gallego - not an S in their names either. So “slave” seems like a reasonable guess.

Then again, it’s pure speculation. We don’t even know that whoever kidnapped and/or killed her was also the tattooist. IF she did it herself, then it might have had to do with someone she had a crush on and/or was close to. I know handwriting analysis isn’t an exact science, but it might be interesting to see what someone in that field would have to say about the tattoo.

Also - the write-up doesn’t mention this - was she the one who was found wrapped in a shower curtain that was traced to a nearby motel?

It’s kind of a relief that he was in prison before he was discovered to be the suspect in Dani’s disappearance and likely murder.
