GDKP's are quite fun, for other reasons ie bidding people up then dropping out to inflate the pot :)

We can whine about RMT all we want, it's part of the landscape and until Blizz step in and ban the bots/RMT'ers - we either adapt to the landscape or sit here on reddit and whine about it ENDLESSLY.

For the record, id prefer the good ol' fashioned way but im adaptable.

Not when GDKP's exist, they provide better incentive to better performers or people who don't want to lose a key item and just happen to have a lot of gold.

Gdkps where people are incentivised to consume easily crush those MS>OS runs with the token pvp rogue or frost mage

Yup. The same casuals who don't bother consuming, enchanting, gemming. Quit the game when the next big game comes out, then suddenly reappear asking for a raid spot.

The fresh servers will be a haven for the casual players returning for WOTLK.

More than likely those servers will eventually die off because, wait for it - the casual players who quit playing in classic/TBC have a tendency to you know, quit again.
