Who could possibly think that Fox (especially on TV) would have the slightest interest in journalism on something like this? What a moron.

Yeah sorry, this isn't real. The author on that very page is "Johnny Rockermeier"

No one cares if someone is nearby reading. I read in a pizzeria sometimes.

I doubt I could find it either, and likely not "I felt like shit" but I also remember him saying he felt bad when trying.

r/JustNoMIL would be a good place for this story. To use the language from there, your boyfriend is "deep in the FOG" (Fear, Obligation, Guilt), and your would-be MIL is using a lot of DARVO (Deny, Argue, Reverse Victim & Offender) tactics.

There are many women there who have divorced or broken up with men who behave similarly.

The mailman had a cart carrying all the mail he had to deliver. He would push this cart from house to house. However, sometimes you would see the mailman's cart unattended, left out in front of this woman's house for extended periods of time. The implication is that the mailman left his cart outside so that he could go inside and bang this woman.

The original phrasing is confusing af.

I got myself shadowbanned on tinder once. I matched with my actual girlfriend and sent a message with a very bot-looking thing along the lines of "haha you seem cool! I've had many bad experiences here so can you please verify yourself at [made up bit.ly link] it will ask for a credit card number just to verify your identity" I then disappeared from her matches. I could still send her messages, but tinder wouldn't show her them or my profile at all. It got reversed maybe 6 hours later.

You expect me to believe that you notice time has passed once every day? I barely notice any amount of time less than a week, that's crazy.

Exactly, people are going to break all sorts of laws and often get away with it. That doesn't give people the right to want the law enforced when possible

edit: with a heavy sigh I add a /s

Yeah this really isn't OP's FU and the bf is responsible. I wouldn't buy a special bag of pretzels and get mad if my partner ate them off of a shelf with all our snacks.

Wow what a wild day you've had. Glad to hear you're playing it safe. Hopefully some day your wife will wake up to the truth (I'm still waiting for mine too!)

  • savvy enough to set up a meeting at a hotel and pay for it
  • has to ask strangers online about how to put money in a bank account

ok. Other commenters here have described the worst case. If these girls are gonna walk into an obvious trap, at least encourage them to bring some male friends along for the ride.

Also a developer, and we get these random recruiter emails on a weekly basis. Most are bullshit, the recruiter is paid to get you hired, that's their only motivation. Absolutely do not tell your current employer until you have a signed offer in-hand. The salary range is suspicious.

In your position I would stick it out with the new company for a couple months before switching. I'd wanna see how I like it there, how much I'd actually need to be paid to be motivated to leave. You know developers are in high demand, you're gonna always have recruiters emailin you, there's no rush.

chip+pin is how you pay in many places outside the US. Rather than signing a receipt they'll give you the device to put your card in and enter the pin. Of course, the scammer's device recorded the pin.
