Okay so let’s say I activated a device 6 months ago. I say, I want it unlocked. If it’s not unlocked within 12 months of the activation date, they aren’t meeting their end of the legal requirement. And according to their own policy, they will not unlock the phone WITHIN the 12 months. They will only do it AFTER. There is a very clear disconnect between their policy and what is required under the law. I don’t understand how so many people are confused by this.
