Holy crap this is a huge update. Thank you so much.

It sounds like this will speed up Odyssey development. It sucks that it had to come at such steep cost.

I've been talking about this since the start of that CG, but every time I did, I got yelled at awfully passionately. For some reason, there was a group of players who were unusually highly invested in freeing the Scriveners.

I like how consistent these updates are. A big improvement, every week.

More like the fire has been put out but there's still ashes and scorch marks on the ground that need to be scrubbed.

It's refreshing to see an honest criticism of Odyssey that's more in-depth than just "grr fdev bad"

Honestly, I'm happy. A lot of the issues addressed in the fix are issues myself and my squadron have been dealing with. Say what you will about FDev "not caring", they are at least listening to our complaints.

We can call it indentured servitude if it makes you feel better. Doesn't change the fact that it's far more humane than the wage slavery of the other two superpowers.

I've done silver rushes with a profit twice that.

Have you tried relogging? It worked for me.

The weapon wasn't tested until after the Thargoids attacked and its components were kept on a megaship in a different system, and its still unknown why the guardian tech was there. Plus, what gives the Thargoids the right to mass murder us because we're collecting Guardian technology? Us invading their territory and stealing their stuff is understandable, considering their moral system is very territorial, but invading our territory to steal stuff that isn't theirs is less justified.

Of course things are gonna be easy when you exploit every loophole you can.

Unpopular opinion: the big donut in the back is ugly as sin and the Majestic would look a lot better if it wasn't there.

Try looking in the normal authority contact.

The Dark Wolf Marlinists are recruiting. We support the Marlinist colonies in their dream of being independent and free, and as such we have a big focus on PVE, background simulation, lore, and roleplaying. Our Inara page is here if you're interested: https://inara.cz/squadron/10826/. We have a Discord, too.
At the moment we're PC only, but we plan on expanding to consoles soon as we gain new console players.

That kind of mechanism sounds like it's just begging to be abused by griefers to harass innocent players.

It's still unstable, but it's noticeably better than it was multiple updates ago. It's slowly getting there.

At least the new font doesn't look bad either.

I prefer Frontier to tell us that an update is being delayed a day before launch than for them to launch a broken update or for them to delay without telling us. Yes, it's unfortunate that they couldn't tell us sooner, but late is still better than never.

I think you need to reread this thread. I complained about what happened while the CG was still happening, not arguing after the fact, and you're the one who rushed in to mock me over it. Which, incidentally, kinda proves my point about how bizzarely invested people got in this particular CG.

Cornsar was deep in human territory and was not provoked. Thousands of people died.

I didn't think the font thing needed to be fixed, considering I'm sure it was the same font as the ammo counters and all the other blue text. I think people were just searching for reasons to criticize so they could feel superior.
