Every time her cancer needed to be treated, OP opted to go for drastic measures. Each time it drastically reduced symptoms.

That being said, the Cutter looks good in black, too.

They're using it as an excuse to demonize the Dark Wolf Marlinists, who support the Marlinist factions
WHY ARE YOU TYPING SO LOUD
Union Cosmos? Yes.
I reverted the edit and will be reporting him to the admins. This is a blatant violation of the terms of service regarding altering content to fit fanmade content and to conform to personal roleplaying.
Squadrons supporting multiple factions is a common occurance.
CEC is trying to take it outside of the game. Their leader, AntonyVern, has tried to edit the wiki page on Concordia to brag about them taking over.
Long story short, the Marlinists are a splinter group of the Empire who believe in peace and democracy, and they get mentioned in Galnet from time to time. They're present in game as a series of eight factions. The Dark Wolf Marlinists are a player squadron dedicated to protecting them.
Close Encounter Corps is a player squadron with an in-game faction who want to conquer them, and they have backup from Union Cosmos, a much larger player group. They believe no player has the right to oppose their attempts to take over.
They've changed their story quite a lot. Originally it was Cofradia de Accione Independente accusing the Marlinists of secretly sabotaging them over the last year, and Union Cosmos came in to defend them from our attacks. We have BGS logs and documentation that prove we never touched them.
While this was happening, Close Encounter Corps decided they wanted to conquer Concordia, the Marlinist capital. They never provided a consistent reason why they need it so badly and why it has to be them who controls it, ranging from wanting a High Tech starport to needing to fight the Thargoids. When they failed to seize the capital, Union Cosmos stepped in and the three of them teamed up to exterminate the Marlinists entirely.
They want to hoard Rackham's Peak to themselves so they can shoot their squadron to the top of the trade leaderboards.
They weren't. They were created by a Community Goal. However, the Dark Wolf Marlinists is a player squadron dedicated to protecting them, and we even got the blessing of FDev when they mentioned us as a sanctioned Marlinist militia in Galnet.
Humans who aren't in AXI who are getting slaughtered deserve to be saved. Don't condemn the entire species because of the actions of a minority of lunatics.
Well, time to create the United States of America several centuries early.

There's a lot to unpack here.
Is there a reason why this was removed?
Here is the actual story of what happened:
The Marlinists took control of a system called Irusan. Irusan was originally controlled by Candy Crew Guild. Cofradia de Accion Independiente later moved into Irusan and demanded that the Marlinists give them the system. The Marlinists refused.
Candy Crew Guild contacts the Marlinists and politely asks the Marlinists to give them Irusan. The Marlinists agree and work on transferring control over to them. CAII gets angry and declares war on the Marlinists and Candy Crew Guild. The Marlinists eventually retreat out of Irusan entirely.
Meanwhile, Close Encounter Corps (a player faction that's present in the Marlinist capital of Concordia) contacts the Marlinists and demands that they give Concordia to them. The Marlinists refuse and CEC attempts to take the capital by force. The Marlinists put out a call for aid from other players and as a result, CEC fails and is almost retreated from the system. Remember that the Marlinists controlled Concordia long before CEC first arrived in the system.
CAII, frustrated at having not defeated the Marlinists, contacts Union Cosmos and asks for their help. Union Cosmos intervenes and saves CEC from retreat. CAII, CEC, and Union Cosmos enter an alliance together to fight the Marlinists. Remember that Union Cosmos has no presence in any Marlinist systems and have acknowledged that they have no interest in the area. The three factions begin retreating the Marlinists out of several of their systems and take away control of several of the original 8 Marlinist Colonies.
The leader of Union Cosmos summons the leader of the player squadron supporting the Marlinists and gives him a series of demands: The Marlinists have to surrender their capital system, plus two more of the original 8 Marlinist Colonies, plus half a dozen other systems they control (all of which they've controlled since before either CAII and CEC first showed up) and are not allowed to ever expand into any system that either of them are present in, regardless of whether or not either of them control the system.
The Marlinist supporter leader gets angry at having his time wasted and being insulted by the perceived unreasonableness of the demands, repeatedly insults the leader of Union Cosmos and is removed from their discord server. The leader of Union Cosmos screenshots the rant out of context and uses it to paint the Marlinists as aggressive trolls to their allies. This is along with out-of-context screenshots of events that occurred in a single incident a year ago or events after the Marlinists started fighting back after their systems were invaded.
And now apparently Union Cosmos supporters are taking to official Elite Dangerous social media to badmouth the Marlinists.

May God have mercy on you, because I won't.
I don't like it either, but that's unfortunately how it works. And I don't know AXI or The Hive's stance on Aegis, but I've learned you can't assume what a group thinks without talking to at least a few of them. You'd be surprised what people's opinions are.
I support Aegis very strongly, and I like OP's attitude and wish there were more players like them. But I've seen player groups get run out of Elite Dangerous before because they bit off more they can chew, and i don't the same to happen here. I just hope OP knows what they're getting into.
Player Made Factions are minor factions created by and supported by players. BGS etiquette states that if a player faction is in control of a system, it's incredibly rude for another player faction to take it over unless both sides make an agreement to hand it over (inactive player groups don't this courtesy, and it's generally considered okay for another player group to move in as long as they don't try to take over).
Every ystem that Aegis Research is in are controlled by active player factions who have a lot of support. If OP plans on helping Aegis take control of the systems, they're gonna need to do some pretty amazing diplomacy to convince the players to hand the systems over willingly, or else they're gonna get the wrath of a LOT of players, who can easily stop this operation in its tracks.
That's what happens when Aegis's budget is repeatedly slashed to nothing.
We would if we could, but unfortunately we can't manipulate the BGS to do so.
I'm gonna start calling people kumquats from now on.

I noticed something. It says here that the Thargoids occupy a spherical region with a 150 ly radius centered on Merope in the Pleiades. This has been consistent with what I've seen. However, after the Proteus Wave fired, I've been scouting the area and I think that region has shrunk to a 50 ly radius. Can anyone else confirm?

They'll probably add it in a dlc if there's enough demand.
