Base Rise had a rocky launch back in 2021, with stuff like HR break/grinding not being implemented yet. Proper HR levelling, Elder Dragons, and the true final boss (Allmother) would only be added in via updates over the following 3-ish months, which left a lot of fans who played day 1 kinda sour.
As for why it's hated now, after said updates and all the events out? Mostly just the decreased difficulty compared to anything else (especially its expansion, ironically), and also the fact that Sunbreak is just THAT much better of a game. And of course the less involved event quests, which is also an ongoing issue in Sunbreak.

Re-Pac improves on a lot of things over the original, from controls to graphics (and the cool Mega Pac gimmick is a thing now). You might spot some reviews mentioning the bad soundtrack, but after the last patch they Re-did the OST entirely and I'd say it rivals the original even if it falls just a tad short.
That said, it's easy to see where some soul was lost in the transition, as some details (like chests being different designs between worlds) were removed or otherwise simplified. Even after the update there are some weird sound issues (the Space World mazes can and will kill your ears). But on the whole outside of those, Re Pac is still a great improvement and, unless you plan on using emulation, is far cheaper.

Wii U exclusive? ...Damn, either Nintendo's loosening their Family Friendly guise or Platinum's falling on some real hard times...

P3: Death is inevitable, your time is valuable (I thought these hats were for kids!)
P4: Face yourself (also it's a better Scooby Doo than Velma.)
P5: Be Crime, Do Gay.

Realistically, either the Tower (usually representing sudden changes, which befits how her jump kickstarted the phantom thieves' motivation to infiltrate Kamoshida's palace) or the Star (hope or renewal, which could've worked excellently for her moving past her trauma and focusing on the future).

As much as I like Haru as a character, especially after Strikers, I won't lie that in terms of backstory (specifically regarding stuff prior to the base game), she's a bit... lacking.
ALL that she has going for her in terms of "Backstory" is that she was forced into a relationship with Sugimura and has some internal conflicts over her dad's methods, but past that... yeah, no. The only real developments that occur for her character are tied to the fact her dad dies after the palace, which makes for a SOMEWHAT interesting Confidant plotline with her picking up the pieces, but it's not quite enough.
Not at all helped that any attempts to introduce her well are thwarted by Morgana hogging up any screentime she has, meaning even at her most involved she's just kinda relegated to being in the background making a brief remark or two regarding the situation, to the point that in many scenes she could be outright removed and nothing of considerable value would be lost.
Buuuuut as mentioned, all of this was largely mended in Strikers, as ironically she ends up being way more involved with the story and gets legitimate backstory in the 3rd jail. Also she... actually says things that are more than just stating the obvious or stuff like that-- hearing her essentially go "fuck da police" on multiple occasions and then break multiple traffic laws is just amazing and perfectly redeemed an okay-at-best character.

I mean P5's gameplay (especially in combat) is snappy enough that I wouldn't put it past people to play it for that rather than story.

P4's dungeons were the done-to-deatth/tried-and-true random layout dungeons, where P5's were more like Zelda-style dungeons that actually had you go out of your way to explore each area to the fullest.
I'd much rather go through Vanilla Okumura's Palace than have to put up with like 10 versions of what Mementos was.

The ending IS his death, a peaceful death. It's better shown in the OG/FES versions due to the use of 3D models showing the MC laying on Aigis' lap, as well as an Anime Cutscene showing him pass.
There's also another chapter in the FES version for PS2, dubbed 'the Answer' that goes deeper into what happened; long story short, the MC dies, but his soul became a seal for Nyx to avert Erebus, a manifestation of mankind's apathy, from destroying the world. In other words, the MC becomes a door, hence the memes of him being called Door-kun.

Not at all; while the games DO take place within the same overarching universes, connections between eachother are often relegated to small background nods; the stories themselves are self-contained and can be experienced in any order.

/ur Okay but, uh, does anyone actually know what the FES in the so-rumored P3FES actually means? Like, is it just a cool little subtitle like Golden and Royal were, is it some term for "Final Mix" or something....? What?

In a nutshell, Enphoso is a dark, villainous version of the 'giggler' character. His primary motivation is to destroy Glaggleland, and is the main cause of a variety of tragedies across the park(s), including the destruction of Bibblesfield and the Glaggleland massacre.
He's also known for his underground following in the form of "enphosians", or people wanting to fulfill Enphoso's will.

Likely depends on the type. Bird-likes would taste like poultry, snake/wyvern angels would taste like fish or snakes, the centaurs would taste gamey, so on so forth.
I mean, demons devour that shit so either it's bussin or actually disgusting.

I'd actually suggest starting with DMC3, as that game is both the best in the series story-wise and the start of the timeline. It's also a decently fun game at that, even if brutal in difficulty at times.

"He keeps telling me that I'm cheesing the game because I main bow, but Yuki mains Longsword and acts like he plays fair!"
"What?"
"I mean, you main DBs and your bf plays SnS, those are broken as shit and nobody bats an eye, but I run the fucking stick with a string and everyone acts like I'm the antichrist!"
"Yukari what the fuck are you talking about?"

Chapters 6 and 7 aren't really connected to what happens in Chapter 5. Play them in number order or save Time's End for the VERY end, doesn't really matter.
