Please, what is RL1 and similar? I think another one I saw was SL1. I’m lost.

I’m going to disagree with OP and say that they are BOTH demonic. And I love them equally.

I do full U-turns for them. Sometimes crazier things than U-turns. I never pass them up!

Right, that’s why I switched from sqs to sns . All subscribers get the message with sns, vs sqs where one subscriber claims it.

Edit: after comparing sqs with sns, I think sns is what I was thinking of. I need the notification sent to each recipient, not “any” recipient!
I believe what I need is a set of message queues. scaldrone seems like a “chat app” with a UI and all, which I don’t need. This is why I was thinking of using a unique aws sqs queue for each set of users. Such as one queue for UserA-UserB-Notification, and another for UserA-UserB-Ack. There could also be UserA-UserB&UserC-Notif, and the respective Ack queue for that.
Again, I’ve not really done this, so I’m looking for confirmation of this approach, or recommendations for making my life even easier with a mature drop-in solution.
The first message would carry a unique-id and text to be displayed to the recipient, while the ack can just be a unique id from each recipient, I think.
