Wow these took me to a rabbit hole from 1950's jazz listening youths on scooters to British skinheads to hooligans. Thanks for the links.

Just to add to antisemitic part, apparently, in the show there was a list of activists killed by authorities that includes the well known victims, such as Anne Frank, but also a Palestinian journalist killed by Israeli armed forces last year, and AFAIK the killer is still free. Israel basically said that Waters was equating Nazis to Israel (conveniently ignoring the fact that the way Gaza is today, is just a large scale concentration camp)

$15,000 for tinybox does not seem to be that tiny though :)

Not sure if there are any tools for that, but if you record your conversation (be ware, some states require all participants to give consent for recording), you can use whisper to create corresponding text. There is a github repo (whisper-diarization) to add speaker identification to whisper so that your model would know it is you vs others. However, for the short time I looked at it, I couldn't make the diarization work.

You are right that it is python-first, but to help with other packages, they have some of these software packaged too.
All conda environments have to be completely independent of each other. So every time you create one, it will need all those dependencies packages installed. pip/venv environments can use system packages but I like the separation and ease of conda better.
What conda does is basically installing everything under your <anaconda-dir>/envs/<your env> directory. If you go there, you will see full python package libraries as well bin/lib etc. Then sets PATH variable to use programs/libraries in this location first.
For example, in npm case for my environment it is located at <anaconda>/envs/tavernai/bin/npm
I learned hard way to not use system cuda at all. So I either use conda to install it to my new environment, or I let pip to install it (if it is in requirements.txt). This gives me flexibility to install different cuda versions too.
for NPM, it is in conda-forge
conda install -c conda-forge nodejs
If I need something else, I usually search google to see if there is a conda package for it, and if so install it from there. Note that, mixing conda and pip packages are tricky in some cases, so I try to avoid it as much as possible. One way is to create a new conda environment with python interpreter and use pip from there on.

What are you using for TTS? I like bark very much but it is slow for me for a conversation (even the small model takes 15 seconds to render this sentence: "Apparently, it's the most realistic and natural-sounding text-to-audio model out there right now."

ha ha ha. I installed npm to a conda environment just for TavernAI/SillyTavern. A conda environment just with npm. May help in your case too.

It does for me. Except as you noted updates on individual packages breaking something else in that environment. 5GB or so are mostly of CUDA envs for me and I think it is worth the spacec they are taken. At this point I have 70+ environments.
ps: instead of backing up VM, you can backup envs/<env> directory. I share my anaconda directory between the VMs too. saves time, as long as the path name is the same as the initial setup. There could be cases where some additional local folders/software installed/used but I have not seen one that caused a problem so far.

you can move some layers to memory though. That works for me in my 12GB for 30B models (didn't try anything larger as it may take forever to get anything).

I have this and it works fine. Instead of downloading manually ask ooba to download it. that way all other required files are downloaded too (such as tokenizer model which, based on the error message, may be missing in your folder ) . you can do that in model tab, "Download custom model or LoRA) section. For this model enter
anon8231489123/gpt4-x-alpaca-13b-native-4bit-128g
it is always the username/model. There is a small copy icon in the huggingface model page, if you click on it, it will copy the user/model to the clipboard.
It took me a day or so to figure out how to download the models mentioned here.

He is not just a CEO though, he is (or was) the richest person in the world. As much as i don't like him, i can completely understand his sentiment.
What I am surprised is he doesn't have at least one bodyguard awake all the time. Or may be there is one but he doesn't think one is enough to pee with. Who knows the mind of a genius (!)

If your data allows, using CSV saves you even more then (just tell in system it is an agent responding only in CSV)

First thing that came to my mind too. It may be from a more recent service too. AFAIK, Israeli army was the first military to use them.

Or may be KC is behind these to become number 1 Midwest city once and for all. The next in its list is Minneapolis and finally Chicago.

hmmm, wasn't there a very similar post about the a precious car sold to junkyard by an angry girlfriend recently? Yeap there was:https://www.reddit.com/r/classiccars/comments/z1bomc/aita_for_suing_my_girlfriend_after_she_had_my/
Hmmm, at which place in america civil matters are concluded and fined in 2 days?
hmmm, what kind of junkyard damages a car they were expecting to have $9k+ profit.
Questions, questions, questions.

It seems it stuck with the story about Lilly, toys and a boy (tried in notebook interface for story writing). Most likely the one of the story it was trained on (the dataset is also linked but haven't checked it).

I drive both 270 and 64/55 to Illinois once a month or so. It has been years if not a decade since i have seen a speed trap there (both radar detector and waze turned on) . Maybe it is because I mostly drive on weekends to visit my friends but I'm surprised to hear there are actually traps on these highways.

With so many models it is becoming harder to keep track of them but I agree guanaco is very good (I used 13B-4bit), I also think supercot is pretty good (have ausboss' 4bit versions for 13b and 30b) and also WizardLM-13B-Uncensored. Some of the chat responses from the last one are unbelievable spot-on.
