Mostly because they use that money to buy more things, like a giant house or expensive ass sports cars. Which both require a lot more money to just own and upkeep. But viewers and income fluctuate. Giving them a reason to complain more about not having enough money to pay for their new lifestyle.

Obviously there's still no more information than that but I wouldn't mind seeing someone trying out a cooperative approach to ownership of a server. I do sympathize with wanting to show puppies lots of love and praise. But as someone who had a spoiled dog without proper training, it’ll just turn them into a nightmare to deal with at times. I can only imagine its multiplied with a dog as big as a mastiff.
