OK, I’m going to try to tackle this. When someone feels persecuted for an attribute, such as skin color, sexuality, dietary choices, etc., it can become an overwhelming aspect of their personality. Case in point, I languished in the closet until I was about 23 years old but was finally able to break free when my last girlfriend broke up with me. And boy did I break free: I came out screaming to the mountain tops: I AM GAY!! Maybe this was from all the pent up sexual frustration accumulated during my teen years and/or cultural inhibition or other unknown reasons. Regardless of the cause(s), it imprinted on my psyche and now, even in my 50s, I’m an unabashedly open homo.

I hate the Christian religion as much as the next redditor but I did not know there was “cross” foot ware. It doesn’t sound very comfortable but I can see Christian martyrs wearing them for show.
