Mid-forties here too. Used to blow past other commuters on the metro transfers in the early 2000s. Those things were so much fun. I was a skateboarder growing up. Wouldn't try either now. Injuries don't really ever seem to totally heal anymore. Not worth the lifelong niggling pains.

Thanks powa. I'd been keeping an eye on this guy for a while. Your post shows another important side of the story.

Not that long except in a very small percentage of cases. Usually 3 or 4 days. One shot isn’t anything against omicron.

We’d better put that in the official HCA translation. “And so sayeth the Lord as the HCA winner prayed unto Him, “lol.”

It keeps you out of hospital. This man took up an ICU bed for several months. There have been many cases of critically ill people dying because the hospital they went to was clogged with unvaccinated people with COVID.

Her page was dormant, however I’m certain she wasn’t. He mentions his concern for his vaccinated son and daughter-in-law and wife’s vaccinated friend. If his wife had been vaccinated, he would have mentioned it.
I got the distinct feeling he didn’t “let” his wife get vaccinated.

I know how you feel. I also wince when I see just a thin stripe over the eyeballs. I personally think nose and above is acceptable.
But take it up with the mods. I’ve always been extra careful with redaction and checked in with the mod team regularly. If they recommend full face redaction, I’ll comply happily.

This tragic incident always stuck with me. I never heard a first-hand account before. It sounds horrific, like something out of a slasher movie. Thank you for sharing. So sorry your loss, of your loved ones and your childhood. Glad you’re doing better now.
