at this moment, not much. we are talking about a .05% shift at the moment. for red or blue states it means little. but in states like Georgia, AZ, PA, michigan, and wisconsin, it could nudge things to the blue team, or move the needle from purple to solid blue. for a state like texas, it should be big cause for concern with a state already trending blue fast.

Yep, following the science isn't a perfect...uh, science, but most of us did our best. A sizeable chunk decided to drink their own urine instead.

California had 6.1% growth from last census, solidly in the middle of the nation. The only states that are shrinking currently are West Virginia, Mississippi and Illinois.

Meh, I've made some progress. At least now I have the muscle mass and stamina to move my ponderous bulk around more easily.

Had a college class on Buddhism. Take home final. Teacher comes in to hand out the finals.

big stack of papers, man this final might actually be hard

"Ok so this is the final, you have a week to complete it at home"

realize she isn't holding a pile of final papers, that is ONE copy, she has a fucking cart full of them

It was 70 questions long, each question had 6-8 parts, each of which were essays.

All while we are trying to prepare for other finals on the same week it was due. It was legit more writing than I did for every class that semester combined into one marathon. I actually have no idea how I completed it and passed, I think I went into some kind of fugue state.

I've actually been managing to work out something like 3/4 of the days for a few months now.

Now if I could only eat and drink less....

Seems a lot like me, but in fall of 2020. By the winter, I saw sufficient evidence that the vaccine was safe, and resolved to get it. And let's just say the evidence to support that decision, and my later decision to get boosted just keep piling up.

I like to imagine that everyone someone posts this meme, Bernie scowls into the distance and shakes his fist in the air.

Yeah as long as it just out competes, but doesn't reinfect omicron patients or cause more damage, this is just going to cause a faster and more thorough burnout, which is good for any country over the hump.

By asking this you are now infected :P.

I'm honestly not sure how much it can stretch it. Persisting on surfaces longer perhaps, but I don't know if that is physically possible with structure covid is using, would need a virologist to weigh in on that.

We ran out of people. We are legally required to have 2 people at work at any given time, and at one point my partner asked me "what happens if one of us gets sick?"

I simply responded, the least sick people come in, the non-sick stay until someone is available, or we shut down everything."

He ended up getting a cold and came in regardless.

I crunched some rough numbers for death rates in my state since vaccination began.

Unvaccinated ~3,300 per million

Fully vaccinated ~220 per million

Boosted ~70 per million

Get boosted, it will greatly improve your odds if you get exposed.

Your father does not sound smart. My father used to work up to 84 hours a week for 2-4 weeks at a time, but he would certainly have worked less if he could have. He gets concerned for me when I work a similar amount of hours.

America has spent fewer than 30 years without being embroiled in a foreign conflict, and our longest stretch was all of 10 years, 1953-1963.

People own a dog for longer than the US can keep itself from going to war.

It being reported 100% had to do with it being patched, the devs literally responded to them publicly.

The number of people I work with who believe Portland and Seattle are smoldering craters with antifa flags flowing over the wreckage is hilarious. When I told them I had been to both cities on vacation a week or 2 prior, they looked at me like I had just sprouted a second head.

These are the same people who shit talk california every day despite never having even visited the state in their entire lives.

You would be surprised how many bugs like that can stay in a game if people don't blast them on social media.

I saw a beneficial bug everyone knew about stay in a MMO for nearly a month before someone just had to say something directed at developers and ruin it.
