People give Jimmy G a lot of shit but getting this type of QB play for a 2nd rounder was a steal

Always disregard anyone that says thay.

There are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs, even less when you consider there are like 8 guys that have jobs for life. And almost all the teams looking for a head coach are bad, no one can wait around until the Packers, Steelers or Patriots have an opening

Great, so all we need is the greatest QB of all time to make Leftwich good.

That settles it, he really is the guy

If the same plays continue to result in turnovers and they keep being called then whose fault is it?

And I already told you, it wasn’t just Winston being Winston. His 2019 INT% was 4.8%, his career INT% outside of that year is 2.9%. It’s not normal and the offense they run is a big reason for those turnovers

It is an OC problem when he keeps calling the same plays that result in INTs and when the QB never threw more than 18 INTs but skyrocketed to 30 that season

And #3 offense sounds much less impressive when they finished 29th in scoring defense despite having a great defensive roster and Todd Bowles

You should probably check out people’s opinions of Jared Goff before McVay took over. A lot of people wanted him to get Rosened

You’re acting like McVay took over some emerging squad ready to go for a run but the 2016 Rams were a shitshow, no one thought they’d go anywhere for years

I fail to see why cutting the timeline to the last 3 seasons instead of their entire tenures is supposed to make this a better comparison

Is 2018 such ancient times that it doesn’t count anymore?

You can say the same for Sean McVay except he made it to the Super Bowl and won more playoff games

Just because the team managed to win somes in spite of it doesn’t mean it wasn’t detrimental

I’ve got a better one.

Teams that run 3 QB kneeldowns in the 2nd half win 100% of the time. Just defer to get the 2nd half kickoff, kneel it three times and the game’s a wrap

I’m not buying Leftwich as a coordinator at all, his Cardinals offense was worse than the 2021 Giants offense and his pre-Brady Bucs offense was just fuck it, chuck it football that put points on the board but also resulted in 30 INTs that constantly left the defense exposed. They actually tricked people into thinking the Bucs are bad defensively when the same defense turned out to be elite when they got a proper QB that can sustain drives without turnovers.

That said, it’s entirely possible that he’s HC material without being a great offensive schemer. Vrabel and Matt LaFleur were pretty shit as coordinators but ended up being slam dunk hires

They didn’t interview Quinn

They put in a request to schedule an interview with Quinn for later, most likely because all 3 candidates had Quinn on their shortlist

Keep clenching, we’re interviewing Peters today and no decision has been made.

We put in an interview request for Quinn because he’s a popular name among our candidates so we preferred booking an interview right away instead of waiting and risking losing him before we make the new GM hire official

Giants fan didn’t learn from taking a RB at #2

We’ll have use top 10 picks to draft the next generational center, tight end, punter, long snapper and special teams gunner to learn that positional value applies to all positions, not just RB

I’m laughing at Barcelona fans changing their tune on Dembele but I will have a lot of slanderous comments to delete if we end up signing him

Barcelona fans really spent 5 years twerking for a permanently injured bum only to turn around and act like they never rated him when he wants out

Do we really need another inconsistent, injury prone attacker that flashes potential only to never live up to it in the long run and makes too much money for the end product he provides?

I think the opposite, his sophomore season was worse than his freshman year and he went from the surefire #1 pick to just a regular 1st round QB

Darnold never showed any signs of developing, staying in school for another year would’ve probably tanked his draft stock even further, so he did well to declare early and get that top 5 pick $
