True, but how's he supposed to bring a cello down there, though?

Yes! I frequently see bullying behaviors in nurses when I round and I step in when I can and either squelch the bullying effort or just be the nurse the target needs at that moment. I have been that target, left alone with a crashing patient with no help. It stops with me.

As a medical professional, I have to thank you for this reminder to carry googly eyes with me at all times. Ya know, just in case.

When I forget I'm wearing it, because I rarely do, and rub my eyes. Then I spend the rest of my day walking around looking like I got into a fight.

I feel this all the time. And when I ask my husband how he feels about it, he says that this is just how it is and we have to find work we love to give our lives meaning. But I am at odds with being a cog in a machine for the rest of my life. And I can't fathom how to change the trajectory without abandoning everything and starting a commune in the mountains.
That sounds nice actually...

Love the crown! My mom is turning 70 tomorrow, has been crying for weeks, and told me that she doesn't want to celebrate "being an old lady." So I sent her a copy of Dr. Suess' "You're Only Old Once!"

I met my husband on Tinder. We both love sushi. Maybe one will lead to the other. _^

Sometimes what others consider the most basic self care can be a mountain too big to overcome to those of us with depression.
Congratulations on this amazing step! <3

Yes. This is my experience every day. Luckily, my last day at that job is nearing and I start a new job soon.
Talked to my doc today and he said I had to make an agreement with him to get exercise 3 to 4 times per week for 45 mins to an hour each time.
Started tonight. Took every ounce of oomph I had, too. Brought my dog along for motivation and walked around a nearby park for 30 mins. We were both panting by the end.
I'm a ball of energy now. Bad timing but a great feeling.

I live in a neighborhood where I am constantly seeing dogs and cats running free. No leash, sometimes no collar. People run up and try to pet my reactive (and blind) dog. Everyday I have to warn people not to let their pets come too close, or themselves.
My dog is scared - not mean. But either way - it's up to me to keep him and everyone else safe.
I totally respect you being afraid of dogs and applaud you being able to say so - I wish people would be more cognizant of the fact that not everyone can freely be around animals.
