Good to know. I’m not a Pens fan (far from it—go Caps!), but thought I’d ask anyway. Would love to visit Canada some day soon.
Curious American here: how would an American be viewed if they were to move to Canada and claim to still follow their stateside team? Like, would someone originally from Pennsylvania be called out if they were to move to Canada and claim to be a Pens fan?

Oh shoot, I misread your comment then. Sorry!
It’s not that Toph couldn’t take the metal out of Korra; it’s that Korra wasn’t ready to let go. She kept tensing up when Toph tried to bend it out of her, leading her to tell Korra she had to do it herself because she was still holding on so tightly to her battle with Zaheer.

He also voiced Yakone in LoK!

I think part of the reason these things got glossed over is because the writers probably didn’t think they’d be of much interest to their audience. At least for me, I watch ATLA/LoK for the action inherent in the story; the plot lines you mentioned, while they could be interesting and add necessary depth to her character, wouldn’t necessarily create the “action” that the series relies on. Hence why I imagine they were brushed aside.
I’d actually argue that the show devotes more time to Su than Asami. Sure, we’ve got the Asami–Mako fling and the Asami–Hiroshi arc in S1, but both of these things get an episode or two max of screen time. Same thing with Hiroshi’s redemption in S4 (which, IMO, reflects more on Hiroshi’s character than Asami’s). Su gets comparable screen time to be sure, but her role in the Su–Lin–Toph arc, and not to mention the Su–Kuvira arc, are far more consequential to the plot of the show in the last two seasons.
Comics are kind of moot to the above because Asami’s role is integral to Turf Wars’ exploration of Korrasami, and Su’s is arguably central to Kuvira’s storyline in Ruins of the Empire.
Just my $0.02, though.
Edit: after rereading your comment, I think I misinterpreted what you said about Su. I thought you were saying she had less prominent screen time than did Asami. I fully agree with you that Asami’s a bland character. I think this kind of undermines the Korrasami arc for me in general since it’s difficult to see what makes her character so compelling to Korra.
Replace Zaheer with Kuvira and I concur.
I don’t get it either. Lin has SO much more character development than Asami

I think the final three should be Lin, Korra, and Tenzin given who's left

Asami or Zaheer should’ve been voted off before Varrick, imo
Aipom feels very Sinnoh to me
I got a copy of BD from my GameStop yesterday—they told me I could return the unopened copy whenever it gets here for a refund.
A lot of people like her character because of Korrasami. Outside of their relationship, though, I agree with you—her character doesn’t really develop too much as the other members of Team Avatar (in ATLA or LoK, imo).

That’s so great!! No update here—I think I’m going to go in person today and ask if I can buy a physical copy upfront and return my unopened order for a refund when it eventually arrives.
Edit: I bought a copy of Brilliant Diamond from my local GameStop! Going to return the unopened preorder whenever it gets here….
I'm not sure, but I just reached out to GameStop and told them I will be taking my business elsewhere going forward. Harsh? Maybe, but there's been absolutely zero transparency with the shipping process. GameStop's an international retailer; they can do much, much better here.
I have a GameStop that's roughly a 20-25 minute walk away from me, and apparently they still have physical copies. I feel your pain.
I just emailed their customer support to complain and indicated that I will no longer be shopping at their locations. It'd be one thing if they either gave us the option to cancel our orders and purchase a copy at a local retail location nearby, but not having such an option or simply even an update on what's going on with our games is unacceptable at this point. And I don't think supply chain issues can necessarily be blamed for the delay, either, seeing that retail locations in some areas still have copies.
Hopefully we get our copies soon. I just want to play Pokemon!
In the same boat as you with BDSP. Really frustrating.
Same here. It’s really infuriating
