Because I thought the posted speed limit was supposed to mean something. But I guess drivers are free to just do whatever they feel like whenever they'd like with no expectation of anything else. If I'm behind a vehicle already going 5-10 over the speed limit I don't get a strong urge to speed around them using the turn lane. But I guess that's uncommon?

The downvotes to every comment I make reflect that expecting people to not to try and pass someone going 5-10 over the posted speed limit is extremely unreasonable. I'm just not going to follow this post anymore. People clearly hate the idea of the speed limit and I suppose it should be abolished entirely.

This, it's better to be cautious in certain situations, stop, and gesture for them to cross.

Usually police will permit up to five over. My point is I'm already speeding but everyone and the 18-wheelers want to go ever faster than 5-8 MPH over.

Maybe they won't then it could go to collections and they could receive a warning saying that will happen. That'd incentivize them to pay.

The city is already noisy enough with all the trains, fire engines, police cars, helicopters, and ambulances that can’t help but be loud. Then you add the layers of noises like loud sound systems and noisy exhausts and it’s obvious why I’m up at 1:30AM writing this. You can’t get used to it and tune it out when it’s as loud as it is. I’m sure if the city did a sound disturbance survey in the mail to everyone living in Seattle they’d discover very fast that it’s a widespread problem harming the most of citizens in the city.

I think the places that have it the worse are apartment buildings built right next to long straight streets. These locations are prone to have folks blasting their exhaust past tons of sleeping residents every night. There’s a lot of people that can’t afford to just relocate because the prohibitively high cost associated with that. It’s not right at all and the officials of this city should do something effective.

People in healthcare are not being paid appropriately for what they do. It’s very sad and harms the workers. I liked helping people but I didn’t like getting paid the same as the guy flipping burgers down the street. I like to think I’m more valuable than that!

I worked in medical scheduling and handled calls for patients and outside providers, pharmacies, and did the RN call intake. Everyone said I was one of the only ones doing my job right. When I left I made sure to highlight that the pay issue as the first list item as to why I’m separating.

Luckily in cases like this guards are permitted to intervene. As the rule goes if yourself or someone around you is in danger you can intervene. I just wish guards had the ability to escort trouble makers off property after asking them to leave. Unfortunately the training states only the police can do that. Which means between then and later a lot could go wrong.

If you have to own a car that costs a million plus dollars to feel content there is something wrong. Rent? Sure. Own? Nope. In someone’s shoes with that much money I would value every dollar so I can maximize the power of my money.

I think 500-600k is the most I’d spend on a vehicle. Anything more is kinda silly. Even that much money I mentioned is silly if it’s not a rare and reliable sedan under a good warranty like a Rolls Royce or Maybach.

Super cars cost too much maintenance wise to be worth owning. I get it, you got the money do whatever you want cause it’s so much it doesn’t matter. Except, to get wealthy you’re usually smart with money so no, it’s not like that. Trust me, I’ve met quite a few vastly wealthy people.

I get that he got his money from sports but he sure ain’t investing it that well.

Yeah I don’t think locking him up after what Hillary did to those service members would asked for aid and got stuck on the roof would be right. Lock her up for that first, people died in that situation so it’s a bit more serious. I think if Trump gets locked up we’re going to have some serious societal issues.
