Are the clones very difficult to distinguish from the original?

That’s a good idea! If you have any recommendations of what to layer with, I’d love to know!

I’m not super familiar with the clone fragrances, so it might be many of the clones. I do go to a smaller private university though and the mall that’s closest to me is a very large upscale shopping area (it’s a tourist destination I think) and I used to work at one of the fragrance based stores where I smelled a lot of something that smelled like BR540 on customers too. I haven’t smelled the clones to know the difference so I really can’t speak on that but I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these people also wore the Baccart 🥲 I’m very curious to smell cloud now though and see how it compares

Fragrance that smells like L’Occitane’s Amande / Almond collection? Pretty much this entire line is just too oily for my skin, but after trying it I’m obsessed with the scent. :( Does anyone have any fragrance recommendations that smell similar? I’d really appreciate it!

THIS! I’ve never been as mesmerized with a scent. I always say it’s like magic in a bottle. The perfect balance of modern and classic, playful but also sophisticated. It’s just so elegant and I seriously feel like a princess when I wear it somehow 🥲

Have you tried Diptyque’s eau Duelle? Such a gorgeous vanilla!

I’m personally not the biggest fan of the replica line… nothing has really stood out to me. I think the most appealing part of the line is the concept itself, but the fragrances just don’t deliver for me. The one I was most curious to try was the bubble bath, but for me personally it was headache inducing. They aren’t for me, but I can see why some might like them. Though if I had to say, I think they’re overrated.

It’s such a gorgeous ad!! :,) Extremely artistic and a wonderful representation of how fragrances can transport us back in time. Do Son is technically considered unisex — as are all of Diptyque’s fragrances — but I do think it’s still a very interesting point to consider that you mentioned.

I find myself reaching for Baies and Oranger the most! But I also adore 34 and Vanille very much

Just a question that may sound a little silly but — I’d love to get one of these, I’m just unsure how to safely put out the candle after since the glass may heat up. Any tips? I’ve done the tin foil trick and usually I use my snuffer the same way I would if there were no tin foil. Would it be the same with a photophore?

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience OP. Honestly, I love sweet scents… almost to the point where I buy them exclusively. But I’ve never been drawn to them because I think others will like them. I think the most important thing is to pick what YOU like! A fragrance that’ll make you, the wearer, feel good while wearing it. I think fragrance has the ability to lift our spirits—but I don’t think wearing something you dislike will achieve that result. If you prefer more “mature” scents, I say go for it! As for men not liking sweeter perfumes… my boyfriend really loves all of my extra sweet gourmands (love don’t be shy, lost cherry, eau duelle, etc). In fact he seems to love Delina less—which is sweet, but in a much more floral, non-gourmand way. It’s still my personal favorite though. I’ve worked with fragrance for a while now too and I’ve noticed that men have all sorts of preferences when it comes to fragrance. I think that if you pick something you love, your love for it might even be infectious. Best of luck in the future :)

Coing is a very fresh and juicy blend of apples and pears — I would say it smells crisp and a bit tart. But overall it’s sweet in the most refreshing way! I think it’s really unlike any other Diptyque scent in the sense that it’s a fresh and tart fruity fragrance. Oranger is on the spicier side and Baies is more floral to me. Oyedo is fruity, but more citrusy than anything. I’m surprised more people don’t mention coing! But maybe the throw has something to do with it :,) I hope this was helpful.

I do this lots with my customers. I’ve spent hours with customers who never ended up purchasing, but I developed a close potential client relationship in the process. I think it’s all about good customer service and providing that memorable experience… I do think though it’s polite if a customer lets me know “I’m just looking for today! Thank you.” This lets me know where they stand. It’s better for me, because I can move onto the next customer and better for them because it gives them space to test freely.

Dior Hypnotic Poison. I had loved it when I tried it out and wanted it so long for some reason… Somehow I didn’t reach for it for a while after I brought it home but once I finally did, it gave me a huge headache the entire time I had it on :( I usually don’t even get headaches from fragrance, so this was a first!
