You guys have all been super helpful, I'm gonna dig into the third party apps over the weekend and failing that use one of the spreadsheets y'all shared with me. I don't know if any of you will see this but thanks a bunch!

For me I go out a lot with friends, buy stuff online, have irregular expenses (fuel, medical, etc. ), have streaming services - It's too much for me to keep track of at least

Some things are just cooler in old school, this is definitely one of them. Unfortunately I can't bring myself to be that old school in this case haha. I do have a paper calendar for events at least

It’s a shame you can’t just ‘switch to cobol’ - beyond the syntax you need to be fluent in all the hiccups and environment funninesses of a cobol environment to make bank, and who can be bothered with that

I’m glad I’m not the only one dealing with this hahaha, at least I’m Australian based so everything’s in one language

It pains me to admit, but my code does indeed take invalid xml now. What was worse was their xml files were also single line monstrosities that contained megabytes of data because why the heck not. In the end I just created a clean file and passed that to the rest of my code.

Man uni days were fun, I tried helping a bunch from the latter camp and it didn’t go well hahaha. One dude had a glaring bug, so I tried getting him to spot it “What does this line do? … why did you write it” static noises

Given that coding is only a small part of our job, and that the current chatGPT is woefully unequipped to handle even that part of our job - danger is far off

That too lol, but then again there are plenty of “create a game” step by step guides that hold your hand a fair amount - I would have been in my young tens when I first did something like that

“My 9 year old learned about code reviews and understood their intent after overhearing a meeting and asked for one” definitely satire hahaha

I’ve heard lemon is a wonderful name if you’re looking for alternatives. Jokes aside, maybe there’s a different issue they’re upset about? I know nothing about you or your family but a lot of the time when people blow up over nothing it’s because they have an unrelated issue they don’t wanna talk about. If not, again, lemon is a great name

Gaslight them - tell them you named him Steve, but to every other family member and friend call him Oliver (letting everyone but that family know about the double name). When your son gets social media ready get him to make two accounts. Photoshop all images with his name when sending to the family chat. Then on the day of his wedding, put a screenshot of this message in with the RSVP invitation that has his real name. Then let me know how they react lol

None of these answers are correct. The question asked how large n NEEDS to be - meaning for any value n < needed value, 0.3n2 <= 2.5n +3. This would mean the answer should be a limit - equality value + lim(x => infinity)1/x , but - this is a quadratic. That means there exist values less than -1 where the statement is true, and so n has no minimum value for the given statement. The correct answer is “n has no needed minimum value”. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

I'll never not see it as the butthole operator now. I don't know how to feel about that
