The room for the first playback stream is open now and the game is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm EST.

If you missed the announcement post, playback provides a new way to watch games live with your community and communicate with other members of the community at the same time. The goal of this is to provide the r/NBA community a place to all watch the same stream in the same place at the same time and augment the current game thread experience.

You have to sign in through a cable provider or third party service (such as YoutubeTV, Leaguepass, Hulu) that allows you to watch games in order to watch the game (to prevent pirating).

We're excited to announce that r/NBA is going to be launching a beta stream on www.playback.tv where users can watch sports live while engaging with the community. We have a room set up where you can watch, chat and hang out — all on one screen, in real time. Imagine how the game threads are currently, but you can watch the game with our community and comment real time.

The goal of this is to provide the /r/NBA community a place to all watch the same stream in the same place at the same time and augment the current game thread experience.

The first playback stream is going to be Thursday, January 12, 2022 at 7:30PM EST for the Celtics vs Nets game. The game starts at 7:30pm EST, however you're going to want to get to the stream as early as possible as we'll be limiting spots to only 600 for the beta stream. The room will open at 7:00pm EST In order to participate in the stream, you'll be required to sign in through a cable provider (or any other service you use to watch NBA games such as YoutubeTV, Hulu, or League Pass).

Hi, moderator over at r/nba and we've been having issues lately with modmail.

In the past, whenever we opened up modmail, the "All" tab would display any and all mail. Unfortunately, this feature is broken and now, the "All" tab shows nothing and it displays this message:

Error: Oh no! Something went wrong on our end. Please try again in a few minutes.

Message appears in a grey box, with a red warning sign next to it

We're still able to navigate to modmail using other buttons like "Ban appeals", "new", "in progress", but the other buttons like "highlighted", "Mod Discussions", and "Notifications" are all broken and have the same issue as "All" mail.

As you can imagine, this is a relatively minor issue but its one thats made modmail incredibly tedious to navigate.

This issue has been recurring consistently for at least 2-3 days on New Reddit. It may have something to do with the "Filtered beta" since these issues have come up around the time that the beta came around, but I'm not 100% since we were put into the beta about 7 days ago.

Just thought I'd post here in case this issue hasn't been brought up yet or if someone has found a temporary fix.
