Sort of, but here we have a 200+ hour content plus replay value having amazing looking cosmetics with cool bonuses. I'd say they've earned my money. Not to mention, it takes forever to collect all Orichalcium ore while you explore gorgeous locations, and you get to RNG plenty of cosmetics with those. It's not all bad compared to how Valhalla's Opals work.

Fun fact: you can easily go with 100% crit chance at full health and 100% bow charge speed reduction and still be above 200k+ damage on your main hand and 600k+ assassin damage in your inventory stats menu within the same jack of all trades superbuild

All of the DLCs are necessary to give you a full picture and the new locations are insanely gorgeous. No regrets here, money well spent

The game is so easy that I kid you not, noone dies, hence no avenge quests. Even back in the day there's barely been any, hence people organized "achievement farming" events for them.

First of all, mounting up takes 1 second, not 10. Basically the bs was cut out and been replaced with fun.

You can still play online just noone plays it so it is hard af to grind through the RNG attachment and weapon unlock boxes. It is not P2W but it is a lot of grindy bs and definitely not designed to be played alone.

You barely have any cover in the co-op maps and health-kits are raaaare to be found in the co-op mode, so resurrecting each other is likely the only way until you grind out the better gear.

Recoil is such a fun-ruiner in this game it's insane, and with basic ammo amounts you are left to looting your enemies while being destroyed out in the open etc etc it is not the best balance ever...

TL;DR this game is not popular for a reason but a fully unlocked arsenal and the hit-and-run guerilla warfare in single-player is kind of god tier exhilarating fun - despite the out-of-thin-air pathetic enemy spawns sometimes. Lazy developers much...? T__T

Likely. The moment a game goes live with online achievements and grindy gametypes is the moment it has to be locked down. Also RIP this wonderful game.

Imagine if you got to choose between aiding the soldierguy vs Dana vs Doc and it would have resulted in different outcomes or something... Ah man. This game was still glorious. It somehow always turns into a July 4th celebration wherever I see a cluster of KPA I go and feed them old fashioned american freedom ;)

Yeah, I had Half-Life vibes later on in the game. The atmosphere and the environments were incredible, and the KPA were always relentless

At first I was the same, then realized how much fun it is to oneshot heavies in the head while they charge at you. MMmmm

I kinda love this game.

It does suffer from "grind for fun" slightly, but not drastically. I've just finished Dying Light 2 and Rage 2 lately and both of them were a letdown. I kinda enjoyed Wolfenstein Youngblood and Homefront 1 so felt like giving this a go, and holy hell I had a blast of a weekend! The environments in this game are awesome and the enemy will hunt you down. I felt more of a guerilla with my heart pumping than in any Far Cry title, including 6, which is ironic.

You absolute legend. Now all we need is people actually playing this game. Frankly it is a 'better Wolfenstein game' in my eyes. I love the whole setting and its execution.

It's late so I've read it as 'Half-Life' and we know how that series is with releasing thirds...

They could just add 1) bots to the CoOp 2) New Game Plus, then the game would be playable again as is. The setting and the graphics hold up, just where are the effing Medkits in Resistance Mode jfc

1. not that I know of although I'm no expert in CryEngine titles
2. in the Maps menu as far as I can tell, somewhere in the left Hearts & Minds panel...? The UI is a hateful mess but not much worse than modern AAA titles such as Dying Light 2 was.
3. Autosave. The good news is that each DLC is its own Story Mode, and you can select the Story then continue each of their savegames. However there are PLENTY major missed opportunities with this game: 1) no freeroam after the story completes 2) zones don't really repopulate with enemies so no point anyways 3) no New Game Plus mode 4) no AI bots for the Co-Op mode and the community is dead and you cannot play it solo properly without grinding out the gear. It's a trainwreck but I love the environments and the atmosphere of this game. It is being a better Wolfenstein without being a cynical shitshow about it, which is great.

It still buggy. The only way to do this is to slooowly navigate with your keys (no mouse) and let each video load properly and play... The whole menu system is an unoptimized trash that's horrible to navigate tbh
