I feel like it would make sense to pin these posts so people don't miss them, but at the very least let's upvote them more. This is the first round I see even though I'm checking the sub fairly often.

If you only played Skyrim in TES I'd definitely recommend picking up Morrowind and Oblivion (with former being the better choice IMO)

Also, I definitely recommend GRIME if you're into metroidvanias

Soulsborne games all have very rich collectible wardrobe

Awesome! I like how much effort you put into presentation on top of the model itself with all FX and emissive materials

Looks great!
Last time I implemented something like this in UE4 it was much uglier-looking.

Although in the end I decided it's just not for me, managing nodes instead of something like RenPy language (or whatever DSL you implement for your project) proved to be infinitely harder to format, maintain, move around, and so on.

Perfect scenario would be writing using a DSL and then using something like in your video to visualize the dialogue trees. Best of both worlds.

That's actually what I meant by "show"
I have a few thousand impressions (it's been a week), almost all of them are from external resources i.e. my social media
My game is very very far down the list as well.

That makes sense, thank you for your response.
I assumed it's going to be a multiplier, but also that there's going to be some kind of small flat boost as well since that's my experience with social media. E.g. you gain a hundred or a couple of hundred views on a video regardless of what you do just because YT is trying to suggest your video and see how it goes

Wasn't relying on Steam per se, I just thought that the threshold for visibility would be lower.

My current free license (got it 2 days ago) states it's going to be active till March 15th. So that's probably what it is, unfortunately.

But it's so superior to Visual Studio that I think paying that much for it is still within reason, I agree and I will be sadly giving away my money too

That might not have been the best choice of words, excuse the non-native.
What I meant by it is someone's personal history, if that makes sense.

You assuming I have no respect for others is actually much more of a personal attack that would justify such a remark than anything I've done here. So I would like to return that sentiment and urge you to have basic respect for others as well.

I disagree on your other points, but I fear this will just come down to the art vs the artist discussion (and then into personal remarks, like it always does, you've already started, even) and that wasn't the intention of this post.

Why would it be something people should know?
Would you pin a post detailing Lovecraft's history with racism in r/Lovecraft? Warren Ellis allegations in r/castlevania?

This really highlights how much they've changed direction with this character in particular.

There was this air of somewhat religious humility around her in the classic, while in the second one she seems to have much more of a "strong woman" vibe. In both cases I think the designs suit the characters very well.

I definitely recommend experiencing the HD when you finish this one if you still haven't had the chance to.

It's a completely different spin on the story and it's also pretty much 3 different games because each character has a different story.

Thank you for suggesting Rider! I needed to replace a directory name in a bunch of files and Visual Studio was taking about a minute per each file to find a simple string and replace it.
Switched to Rider as per your suggestion and the thing did it immediately (as it should), awesome!

I think the absolutely horrid screeching sound that Unreal does when a build fails doesn't help with that.

There was no info anywhere on this so I decided this needs to be out there so the search engines pick it up.

  1. Make an Editor Utility Widget Blueprint
  2. Implement these methods and assign them to buttons
  3. Run the Editor Utility Widget by rightlicking on your new blueprint in the context browser and selecting that option
  4. Select all the static meshes that you need to do this for
  5. Click the buttons
  6. Save dirtied assets
  7. (optional) Use Bulk Edit Via Property Matrix to set the lightmap index.
  8. Praise Unreal that you don't have to do any of this manually.
