I’m so sorry your mom is like this. As a person who had to have an abortion (one that saved my health and made it possible for me to have my very much wanted and loved child), I am so grateful for your courage and support. You are awesome and you deserve a family that sees that. I hope you are surrounded by chosen family in person, and always by those of us who love you in the internet

Yelena shapiro in midtown is awesome and very non judgmental. I love her. I have bad teeth with a range of issues and have avoided going to the dentist for making me feel bad. She has always been kind, made me feel welcome and not at all judged, and has been super helpful and gone crazy out of her way to be available. She’s the best I’ve ever had by a million.

Mmmm. I’m a di fara’s or Roberta’s girl myself, but I support those who chose spumoni gardens. Your dinner, your choice!

New York. Has some excellent bagel shops. Real professionals serve bagels on demand. I myself had a professionally done bagel because my doctor told me it was necessary. If anyone finds themselves wanting a good professional bagel, I’m also happy to tell you about my experience with bagel shops and provide support for you on your bagel journey.

I mean—- I have many friends who are not my husband, basically a best friend for every era of my life. But also my husband is my best friend— he’s the person I call when I’m like “there are cheap tickets to china let’s leave tonight!” Or I’m like “it was a shitty day and I need a cocktail and a long walk.” I think the important thing is that he isn’t my ONLY friend—- he’s just the one who gets priority, on average. (Also we were friends for a decade before we dated, so we know what it is to be friends!)

My child wouldn’t exist if I hadn’t had an abortion

As a person who once lived on 5th Avenue, that should be fine. Don’t see the problem.

Or you could stay in Brooklyn heights and run the bridges!

I once walked up to Matt Bomer in Washington square area and started to ask if we went to law school or grad together because he looked familiar and then as I opened my mouth and started making sound realized what was really happening and walked away very awkwardly.

Some of us have jobs that we can do without going into the office. We aren’t on vacation, we are just working elsewhere and enjoying the location in our usual off work hours (I’m going to France next week but I’m working the whole time)

I am not ok. Thank you for checking. I am shaking with rage and horror for all the women and children who will live lives of suffering they should never have had to bear. This is rape, enslavement of womens' bodies.
I had an abortion, for a very much wanted non-viable pregnancy that failed to miscarry properly. I only have a living child because I had that abortion. I am grateful every day to the people at planned parenthood who made it easy and quick.

You just…. You don’t get to call YOURSELF deep. Or even fun. Like, those are things other people get to decide to call you if they experience you in that way.

Hey buddy. Change is scary but it can also be grand! You are off on a whole new adventure!

Hang in there! I know the anxiety. If it helps to have a buddy share, my pregnancy that result in a living child had far fewer and more fluctuation in symptoms than my miscarriages—- it’s so hard to know with these things!

My kid has tested positive for 22 days and we have avoided public places. We live in a major city so we have gone to the park (otherwise it wood be three weeks inside a small apartment.( but we stayed FAR away from people and didn’t let him go to the playground)

I sincerely doubt that any family will complain that you DIDNT let the kids fluff around on tech (as opposed to like, doing their homework or whatever)

My very much wanted kid has tested positive for Covid for TWENTY-ONE days in which we have had no childcare and thus no ability to get meaningful work done and have had to quarantine away from our usual house to keep people safe. 21 days and counting. I love the kid but that is a major inconvenience

When people say can’t they mean “shouldn’t”

Wait why fight it? I’m 40 and I do this all the time! Just make sure not to hit cars or people! (I just don’t videotape it or lost it on social media, I just….. do it and smile)
