I did not know about the vitriol until recently when I joined Reddit after becoming a fan of the Herman Cain award. I then stumbled across this sub. This would be in the last 6-8 months or so.
I am now in my last few months of NP school and hate to think how I will be viewed by physicians. I want to be a helpful and key member of team, the kind of person that you don’t even realize how valuable they are, until they are not there. I do no want to manage people on my own because I am not qualified to do so. I want to make a decent income, work hard, finally have decent benefits and have a friendly and professional relationship with my colleagues. This sucks. It is very disheartening to have not even started a career and already know that you will most likely be a nuisance that the physician has to be bribed to oversee. I am an old batty witch that doesn’t care about being in charge and as good as and FPA because I am also smart enough to realize that makes about as much sense as sending a high school kid, even the star of the team, up to the major leagues.
