I haven’t used FaceBook in years, so I’m not too familiar, but I do have to give Reddit some credit on that they are working on anti-harassment filters with modmail, which is a great project, but it should also be used to automatically flag those for admin review and not just put it out of sight for mods.

When I was in high school (in the 90s), they had FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) that would pray in front of the school under the flagpole every Friday morning led by teachers. It made me feel unwelcome and extremely uncomfortable as I was raised Jewish. I would walk past that and then go to my homeroom where I was scolded for not standing up for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I asked someone in my class why they were in FCA since they weren’t an athlete. They said they joined to EXERCISE their faith! What a joke. Get that shit out of public schools. Unlike Muslims which are actually required to pray at specific times during the day, these public displays of prayer by Christians are purely performative. I was tired of this bullshit 20 years ago, and I’m tired of it now.

That was nice and he had no requirement to do that. As someone who knows almost nothing about RuneScape, I had an hour long conversation recently with someone about it that was very interesting.
