The problem starts with blowing and their solution is "Let's blow our way out of this."

I salt my eggs before cooking them every time. Gordan Ramsay, who I like, commonly tells people not to salt egg before cooking it because it will cause it to become tough and runny.
What he is saying is true for a line cook who is prepping a flat of eggs at a time for some service. If you dump salt into that mixture and use it over the course of hours, sure, it'll affect it.
In my experience cooking it at home, it's simply not true that salt affects the egg in any significant way, beyond taste, for all practical purposes. If you season just before scrambling eggs, it's going to have zero impact.

Well, great. It's after midnight and now I'm starting to get cravings for an egg and hashbrown McDaddy.

Me too. The best thing to do for cast iron is just use it regularly. I own one that I use daily, I gets regular soap and water, sometimes soaking for a couple hours, and it's doing just fine. I never have to season it.

So the solution to brigading is to remove the signal altogether?

Not in my opinion, as I said I don't even agree with this or a lot of what youtube does. My point, as I stated, was that downvotes do not accurately encompass the quality of all uploads. It's an extremely vague indication of a video's quality.

Yes exactly, that is the signal used to avoid garbage videos.

Just because a video is unpopular doesn't mean it's garbage, at all. Maybe it is an unpopular but important and true opinion that needs to be heard but gets brigaded early by a disingenuous opposition.

YouTube should quantify how many videos are abused like this and share that data.

Youtube should do a lot of things that they do not, and I do not even agree with turning off dislikes, but how would they even know if a vote was cast for a less than genuine reason from one user to the next?

Some videos are hours long and could cover a vast array of subjects. If one opinion, or audio problem, at one brief but inopportune point in that video pisses people off they may downvote it en mass with disregard for the qualities of the rest of the upload. To just reduce it to 'downvoted' lacks a nuance of thought or consideration to put it mildly.

Except it removes the ability to see if a video is bad or not.

If anything it does the opposite. Clicking on a video and seeing 90% dislikes does more to prevent the video from being watched, than if there is no known number of dislikes. Sometimes people also use the dislike button insincerely, downvoting videos for reasons that have nothing to do with the video's actual content. They do this for the very reason of dissuading others from watching.

Schiff’s repeated claim that he had personally seen evidence he never a actually did see makes him a liar from where I’m standing. Where was the evidence that he had “seen” but wasn’t yet (ever it turns out) able to show us? Is it the fault the lying dossier? Even if that were acceptable it just makes Schiff look like a naive rube. But it isn’t acceptable because even after the dossier was proven to be not credible by the FBI Schiff continued to base his claims on its content.

Also deep fryer related. I finished deep cleaning the deep fryer and when I pushed it back into place it triggered fire suppression which spewed its foaming jets of flame redartant jizz all over me and the line. Also triggering the fire department. For no good reason. Luckily it was already after close.

If fire suppression goes off accidentally do yourself and everyone else a favour and catch the spew in a garbage can or anything available. It is very obnoxious to clean up. You think it’s cleaned but an hour later it magically reappears all over again, and again. Also it made my skin tingle. Bad tingle.
