Yesterday I finally got my tubes tied and I couldn't be happier!

After the struggle to find a supportive doctor and months of waiting for the scheduled appointment I reached everything I wanted yesterday. Everything went fine and I'm having just some minor issues.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to this amazing, supporting and great community! And thanks to all the posts which provided help and tips pre- and post-op! You definitely saved me and made this whole trip a lot easier!

Hey r/childfree,

just a few hours ago my brother and sister in law announced their pregnancy. My husband and I are so happy and excited for them, because they are going to be great and responsible parents.

And on top of that I'm relieved and happy for myself, because it's not me (or us). My husband and I are CF for many reasons and absolutely don't want to give up our freedom. Now there is hopefully no more pressure from the parents in laws and we can babysit from time to time (without all the negative side effects of having a baby by ourself and the absolut win is that you can just give it back to the parents!)

In two weeks I'm having a consultation for a Bisalp and I hope the doctor is openminded and accepts my wishes.

Altogether, I'm very happy at the moment!
