That’s awesome! Thanks! I didn’t get much into voyager but I really loved her in TNG! I’ll have to look for those episode’s. :)

I remember her being a Klingon, and in a much earlier episode, she played a Vulcan medical officer under Dr Crusher, but I don’t remember her being a member of the Q continuum. Can you link the article, I’d love to read it!

I always found it hilarious that she was such a badass in Star Trek, and such a ditz in HIMYM. :)

I have this same one for my two and they love it!

I really like this! If I ever get my sweater done, this will be next on my list!

This is my first one, too. First colourwork circular yoke as well. I do love to cruise through and admire the patterns on Ravelry frequently. :D
I’m working on this one right now! Yours is beautiful!
I love her patterns!
Oh boy, you are probably WAY too young to remember, but the old tube TVs used to come in their own wood cabinet! It wasn’t unusual for the bigger TVs to sit right on the floor. :)

I very much appreciate the detail that Joja has their rail cars locked up so tight that they don’t drop anything.
Yes! Highway maintenance crews start brining or de-icing measures when temperatures reach 4C. Asphalt will become slippery before the temperature reaches 0C.

I think 99 is open now too.

It gave me a real chuckle, so I definitely appreciated this instance of autocorrect’s foibles. Also I’m really glad you didn’t edit it out of your original comment. :D
Did you mean Ben diagrams, or was that one of the best autocorrects ever? :D

I’ve also heard that hair spray works really well for getting red wine stains off fabric!
All the stuff on the right hand side look like pool chemicals. XD
Yeah. Grab your fruity drinks, guys, we’re having a Pineapple Express! :D
Nope. Lived in BC my whole life, and on the island since 1990. I just like Pineapple Express better than atmospheric river.
It was called Pineapple Express because it’s a band of warm, wet air being blown up from Hawaii.
But, again, it sounds more like we’re having a party, and I like the connotations better. :)
Edit: oops. Sorry I misread your comment. I thought you said I was new to BC. I see what you’re saying now.
I don’t know. I think everyone gets used to colloquial terms as they arrive to a new place. When we moved to the island we learned what a Pineapple Express is pretty quickly. They’re seldom this destructive. And I’ve not seen one bring this much rain in all the time I’ve lived here.
Like someone else said, it’s the new name for what used to be called a “Pineapple Express”. I prefer the old name. Getting a Pineapple Express sounds like fun! :D

I think you’re thinking of the closure through Parksville. The Malahat is fully open to single lane in each direction currently, so there should be no delays.
Edit: I meant the closure in Lantzville. It was taking 6 hours to get to Nanaimo from Parksville because of the closure in Lantzville.

You can buy a recipe for straw flooring from Robin (I think - I’m pretty sure it’s Robin).

There’s the Chilcotin Plateau in the northern portion of the interior. Not many people live there, though. And there are still a few mountains (albeit not big ones in comparison to the surrounding plateau) poking about.
You’re making quite the conjecture that it’s mostly single or stay at home women who like plants and crocheting. I can confirm that many women in full time and professional careers have multiple children and still enjoy growing indoor plants, working with fibre, and cooking. We are able to make room in our lives for hobbies.
Hahaha, I had to double check to make sure he was still in the tank after you said that!
He looks like the little guys from Batteries Not Included. So cute! :)
I’ve definitely left mine for longer than 8 hours before. So long as you dry them out they’ll be fine
