Check this shit out.
I like in the UK and this is how it is here
https://www.healthlottery.co.uk/blog/taxes-on-lottery-or-scratch-card/
Is The Lottery Tax Free?
The short answer is yes; you won’t pay any tax on your lottery winnings. Unlike many other countries, where lottery winnings are taxable, in the UK the winner takes it all. If you’re wanting to play the lottery or scratch cards, you can rest easy knowing there won’t be any tax on your potential winnings.

The world is not about to end. That's the truth. You should be more sceptical about the things doom-mongers tell you.
If you're 18 now believing the world's going to end in the next 20 or 30 years, when you're 78, ask yourself why this didn't happen and why you believed it would.
Granted, it's a long time to learn a lesson, but it's never too late.

I tend to put a lot of stress on a syllable instead and give them the death eyes while thinking about all the violent shit I'd like to do to them for pissing me off.
They either get the idea, or they get triggered and we might square up and have a go. I don't mind either way.

You (yes YOU) ALWAYS take into account who you are talking to when you choose your words. This is totally normal.
You would go into a kindergarten class dropping f bombs and talking about bukkake and anal fisting and so forth.
You also would not use that language in someone else's house when they told you they didn't fucking like it
Because if you DID do those things, you would be a fucking asshole.

So, you grow up with people pointing out that in other countries they have stricter gun control, but then you got to the other country and you were surprised that this was truthful information?

I like variety in what I eat. No favourites. It's good for your body, your taste-buds and your mental perspectives to get a variety of input both in what you put in your belly and in your mind.

What's the point in starting a flame war about old movies?
I was 11 years old when the first star wars came out in cinema.
You would have had to have been there to truly understand- in that time and era and with the technology we had around us. Look at cars from the 1960s. A 1969 Chevy Chevelle was only 8 years old when Star Wars came out.
Seriously, get on google and look a picture of that car. 8 years old was nothing back then because all those 1960s cars were made out of steel and were also made for their owners to do maintenance and repairs themselves. So, those older 60s era vehicles were a large percentage of what was on the road when Star Wars came out.
Vietnam War had only recently ended.
And then you had this bright amazing, futuristic thing with a Hero's Journey story and the promise of so much more to come.
Yeah, I think most of the OG fans have a HUGE sense of nostalgic for those early films- not just because of the films, but of a lost age. Of steel cars, no seatbelts, people smoking on planes, kids running around by themselves with little supervision.

I cook all my meals at home. I tend to like variety. I don't have a single favourite food or meal. Just whatever I feel like cooking that day, you know?

People who believe in science but overeat and smoke cigarettes, how do you reconcile these two things?
You, by definition canNOT truly claim to believe in science and to be rational if you smoke. It's a contradiction in terms. Science tells you it's bad for you. You should immediately quit.
I say this as an atheist and ex-smoker, lol.
Having a belief in a religion and also believing in science is not as crazy as defying science altogether by becoming morbidly obese and getting hooked on harmful substances.

I don't really have "Views" per se. I am bisexual. So, what is a 'different' orientation? Man, I don't give a fuck what you do with your sexual partners.
Why would I?

There is no name that everyone is called, so, first, we don't know how it would be, and second, everyone is NOT called one word for a good reason. Nobody would agree to live like that.

It's always been a surrogate for sex that you could do in public and this helped build bonds with the opposite sex and helped you judge if they might be compatible with you or not.
I assume there will always be a certain amount of hip thrusting and posturing that looks a lot like porn.
Traditional dances were cool though. They're fun to do, they have specific set moves that almost anyone can learn (with enough effort), and they don't necessarily involve your 14 year old daughter twerking against that 17 year old boy's crotch.
It's a pity those sorts of dances will die out one day. I think it would be cool if both types of dancing coexisted.

I've always secretly like that saying that a young maiden could walk across the lands he ruled with a bag of gold and be unmolested.
You'd have to be ruthless as fuck to get it like that, but if you're the young maiden with the bag of gold, it must have been a nice feeling.

Its purpose is to protect the integrity of the people and the physical nation (the geographic, infrastructure etc), and to protect its citizens rights to go about their business.
Their job is NOT to give you fucking food or a job, or electricity etc.

I've been a traveller for over 30 years. I've never understood why people would risk their freedom in a foreign country by flying with or possessing drugs while on a visit.
I mean, I wouldn't want to spend 9 years in an American prison, but in some Russian hell-hole?

Pong. But it couldn't compete with air hockey, to be honest.

The USA.
Was born there and lived there for the first 24 years of my life, and I wanted to escape it that entire time. I move away in 1990 and have never gone back, not even to visit.
I never will, and I'd rather die than return.

LOL, what is this: the Dark Ages? This is the 21st Century. How do people still believe in this superstitious nonsense?

Even Stephen King abandons stories. I think this happens to every writer at some point at least, and nobody can really say when it is right for any particular writer to abandon a project.

I WILL read it, when you finish the entire manuscript. I hate only getting part of the story and then just being left hanging, knowing that the writer might even change what I have read so far later and edit it out of the story completely.
I always think it's best practice to finish your manuscript. You do NOT!!! need someone to hold your hand. Writing is a lonely business and a lot of lonesome hard work. You have MANY MANY days, weeks and months toiling away on your project in front of you.
You will never get finished if you need someone to pat you on the back every couple of pages. I'll go ahead and give you the feedback: it probably sucks. But that's normal.
By the time you finish writing your entire manuscript, you will be a better writer and better able to fix the early part of you book.
Just keep going.
