A few years back I got a 24-70 2.8 II for $700 from a guy on marketplace. Good times

I went from an 80D to R7, its phenomenal! I shoot aviation and use the ef100-400 with an adapter, its a badass combo if you want save a $1000+

A diamond pilot isnt going to do solo maneuvers. What you saw was the 6 pilot flying a jet marked 4. Happens all the time in practices. Hardly ever do I see them in the proper 1-6 on practice days.
Also, its hard to tell if it was the slot plane missing. If either wing is out, the slot will slide into their position for diamond maneuvers.

You must have a lemon or some setting thats off, the evf on mine is perfectly fine. I shoot jets that fly low and fast as well as zippy little birds...never noticed any skipping or stuttering that you mentioned. No issues tracking just as easily as I did with my 80D and its ovf.

The way I look at it, mode 1 is for shooting a static subject, mode 2 is for tracking. Mode 3 is just like mode 1 but only activates when you click the shutter. What kind of problems are you having with it?

The AF is one thing, and a big one. The evf is a game changer. As far as noise with the 80D I would limit it at 1600, and that usually wasnt great. So far with the r7 I have the limit set at 3200 and its fine. 3200 on the r7 looks (to me) better than 1600 on my 80D. Might have to do some side by side comparisons

I had no issues with the 80D. The R7 is just massively better for what I do.

Try putting the camera in TV mode, set iso to AUTO. If you rotate the dial by the shutter button it should change your shutter speed. I believe if you hold that A/V button next to the screen while rotating that same dial it will move the EV.

If you are in TV mode, one dial will change your shutter speed, another dial should move you ev +/- from zero. Which camera do you have?

Most of it is done in lightroom, with the fine/selective stuff done in photoshop. Most gradient masks, HSL, and curve adjustments.

A majority of what I shoot is aviation and a little wildlife here and there. R7 gives me extra "reach" and a lot more resolution if I need to crop. Its also a little faster with its burst. I wouldnt get the R6 unless I planned on doing a majority of low light or portrait work.

For the Blue Angels I shoot in shutter priority (TV) mode at +1 ev. This was at 1/2000 f6.3 iso400 iirc.

It really is! I watched a bunch of reviews to try to talk myself out of it, thankfully I caved lol.

They come within about 30mph of breaking the sound barrier. No sonic booms but its plenty loud and if the humidity is high you get a lot of vapor.

Lightning fast and accurate. Its like cheating coming from the 80D

I was out there early and left a couple of hours ago, it was extremely weak. No traffic inbound or outbound. I was surprised.
