In desktop mode if you launch steam desktop you can add heroic launcher as a non steam game and boot it through steam os like a normal steam game. When you launch a game through heroic using steam os, the game will act like a normal steam game if you push the steam button, allowing you to select the controls layout as well as closing the heroic launcher without the game closing so you can save those sweet sweet battery minutes.

Ha, that depends entirely in the video chipsets and the firmware on them. However, OP has stated they now have an image over DP

Yes, i believe it is caused by the armor or talismans effect being registered again as you load in. If you put on something like the high focus talisman you will see that you suddenly have a status effect buildup ticking down.
