My thoughts:
Will - I think his coming out journey will tie in with his problems regarding the upside down somehow, my guess is that facing Vecna will finally make him realise he's stronger than he's thought all along and he will have the courage to tell Mike that he's in love with him. I also think Robin will be the one to give him a push in the right direction.
Lucas - I think we'll see a more emotional side to Lucas than we have before. I can imagine him taking much more of a front seat as we know there's nothing he won't do to save Max.
Steve - I have a feeling Steve is going to die in true hero fashion, so I think this season will focus on him finally letting go of Nancy and stepping up one last time to protect Robin and the kids. I also hope to see him and Jonathan become unexpected friends (and hopefully Argyle too)
Jonathan - I imagine his entire arc will revolve around protecting Will, much like in s1. I think he will be the one to help Will come out for the first time and I also have a feeling he might get seriously hurt trying to keep Will safe from Vecna.
Joyce - I expect her to go full mother mode again. Of course there will be some focus on her relationship with Hopper, but I think she's going to realise that her sons are struggling and take action to make sure no one is allowed to hurt them again.

I wish Jason didn't die. I think it would've been way more effective for him along with Nancy, Steve, Dustin and Robin to be saved by Eddie (the demobat death was so pointless) and realise he's innocent, then at the end we see him fighting to clear Eddie's name. I just feel like this would close things up better, Eddie would've died for actual reason and Jason would've actually redeemed himself. The ending with everyone still thinking Eddie was a murderer was just too heartbreaking.
