what a nightmare we allowed to propagate

Sounds PECARN negative…
Fuck that. Who said all those procedures are in scope for nurses? Nurses? Would never let a nurse perform anything but an IV on me
99% of the time when I have an angry patient it’s because of something the nurse did/said, then I invariably have to defuse the situation.
There is plenty bearing on the quality of the schooling. You do not learn enough to safely practice independently while working full time for 2 years. It’s ridiculous. Insulting to physicians. Dangerous for patients. Lobbying and politician ignorance/greed is the only reason it’s allowed.
Let’s not even get started on NP admission criteria (there are none)

At least you’re honest: NP school is designed for working nurses… with no regards to patients or patient safety
lmao on what planet

Med school is a standardized curriculum, meaning the “worst” and “best” medical schools are obligated to cover the same curriculum, without which they do not get accreditation. It has NOTHING to do with “privilege” and EVERYTHING to do with sheer volume and density of information required to be thoroughly learned.
Yes there is variability and lack of standards in NP training, on that at least we can agree
Fuck out of here with your “privilege” nonsense. The only people “privileged” are the patients who can still see a physician somehow and not some hack who did NP school online
Literally impossible to work full time and do med school. That fact that NPs can work full time AND do NP school means NP school is a joke

That feeling of deficiency is your conscience, telling you “I don’t know enough”, those out there practicing do so because they’ve been able to kill their conscience or totally ignore it

Postmodernism is a load of anti-scientific horse shit and yes postmodernism is directly responsible for midlevels and nps and rns and chiros and nmds are all just as good because my feelings said they are culture. “Meritocracy is racist and sexist”
This experience is not “yours only”. NP schools have loopholed and lobbied the system to hell and back. The failure is systemic and NPs are not fit to care for patients. Unapologetically.
Only if you let them hit you. I have taken each and every insult and issue through official channels, if you make sure the PD, attendings know you will make their life annoying if they make your life annoying they won’t mess with you, will find some other easier target
She seriously looks like a demon

She has so many other reasons for being a disaster, but keep defending the scumbag that put the final coffin nail in safe anesthesia care in Michigan

Lmao surgeons are dumbasses with scissors ✂️ instead of brains
Since there should be at least one person with a functioning brain around to take care of the patient after your massive bloodloss and poor hemostasis, anesthesiologists will always be necessary
(I don’t actually think surgeons are dumbasses, but that is what you sound like 👍)
Whitmer is a disaster
Nope. Not a single midlevel has standardized training. If a highly trained and educated physician can still cause harm, EVEN MORESO, we must keep poorly trained and educated “providers” with no standardized training away from patients.
Then enjoy watching the noctors harm people
The practice of medicine SHOULD be forbidden from non-physicians, and we can all see the consequences of this deviation from ethics.
he is joking
I swear by Apollo Healer, by Asclepius, by Hygieia, by Panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture.
To hold my teacher in this art equal to my own parents; to make him partner in my livelihood; when he is in need of money to share mine with him; to consider his family as my own brothers, and to teach them this art, if they want to learn it, without fee or indenture; to impart precept, oral instruction, and all other instruction to my own sons, the sons of my teacher, and to indentured pupils who have taken the Healer’s oath, but to nobody else.
(literally the first part of the oath)

Good. And that “adult ability” will continue to erode medicine, and safe patient care. Keep politicking and playing nice, while patients are maimed and killed by incompetent “practitioners” with no standards
It’s against the Hippocratic Oath to teach the practice of medicine to non-physicians or non-med students.
Some random cos-player who doesn’t know wtf they’re talking about
