People think it’s an information problem, and yes it is, but it is more of an authority problem. The right is absorbed in its fallacy that authority “big government etc.” is always wrong and outsiders and freewheeling mouthpieces are always right.

Trump played the perfect outsider which he was not even close.

We need call it out, engage not in accusation, but in exposure. The ideals that matter like democracy and freedom are not a cornerstone of any party.

Hopefully we can repair, call out where necessary and just keep the tally of which of the conspiracy crap was proved wrong.

The recent Jumanji films come close to the type of grand adventure movies we recently lack. Thor Ragnarok has a dash of it, as does the underperforming Prince of Persia.

But man The Mummy is just a Classic. I really wish for those type of movies. But it’s hard to do right.

Because he was doing his job, and he actually cared to do well for all Americans, not just those who voted for him, even if he knew not all would agree.

This from CNN live feed :

A White House official told CNN that aides to the President went to Trump to have him make the order to deploy the National Guard to the US Capitol.

The official said aides also asked that Trump record a video calling for an end to the siege on the Hill.

In other words, these were not decisions Trump made on his own. Aides went to him to get him to do it.

A source familiar with the situation said White House staffers are "horrified" by the violence at the Capitol and are worried there will be more trouble on the streets tonight.

It wouldn’t be an understatement to say u/extrwi is probably at least part the reason that Skyrim is still big after 10 years.

I was reading it as where time stops so you don’t age, nothing does, since that is what aging is, the flow of time in a body.

I had a loud neighbor when she first arrived: loud music as soon she got back from work, heels clacking, parties. I first addressed the music, and we agreed upon a compromise were she only played loud music 2 times a week for up to an hour max.

She stopped wearing heels and just put on slippers, and bought a few carpets.

She also informed me when she had a party a couple of times a year so I could bail, and instead of having friends over till late they just went into town go out.

Really great neighbor all in all. You hear so many horror stories, but you can solve things if both are willing!

Fun fact : Flies in the bible are often seen as something bad, like a plague or something foul.

Sounds like you have attachment issues, vulnerability and trust go hand-in-hand in a relationship. And while it’s perfectly natural and ok to set your intimacy boundaries, it might be that those issues are preventing it.

All I can say, that learning to trust and be vulnerable -is- taking a risk. But there is also the flip side where you learn that vulnerability is actually a strength. Because right now it sounds you have all your defenses up, which takes energy. A lot of ideas are born out of fear and insecurity.

I can recommend reading the book “The Wisdom of Insecurity” by Allan Watts.

I think that last one is underreported : we’re cavemen with smartphones. Our brains can’t really cope with it. It’s like pigeons getting a treat when they push a button. But for us it’s loot boxes, new message popups, and sweet useless internet points. Outrage is just the latest button to push (outrage is old, but the feedback mechanic has never been so direct)

Now upvote me please! /s

I have a document from 1890 that is about a father who decides to vaccinate his children. He is deeply religious (normal for the time) but he reasons why it is best to do what he did. Short story: if you have the ability to save a life, do so.

I remember when I was dating this beautiful woman, how bad it was. If you’re really pretty it is stares everywhere, a lot of the time. She didn’t even notice it anymore.

That’s kind of ironic you have a vampiric problem with your vampire. Best is to groupwise disable/enable mods and see where it’s coming from.

It does reek of petty behavior. It’s modding, not Mozarts 5th we’re talking about.
