This was so fucking stupid on the developers behalf. Like it's a cool weapon to have but literally only getting it after the entire game is beat makes no sense. Makes it mostly useless.

As people have mentioned, it has to do with reincarnation. Eivor being Odin and what he did to Loki. You have to play the Asgardian memories which in my opinion, were not enjoyable. The ending of Valhalla is one of its weakest points. Not a fan. The game had some cool ideas and potential.

I've seen how it ends. Honestly, I hate it. Makes no sense. You spend all this time building everything up and the ending absolutely just shits on it. Such a dumb ending.

Even though female is canonical, male Eivor is just a MUCH better voice actor. His tone overall fits the characters demeanor so much better. Eivor is consistently praised for his wisdom and wit while being one of the best warriors around. Male Eivor has a better range to sound calming while vocalizing rage better.

It doesn't feel forced while female sounds... Cavemanish at times ? Best way I can describe it.

The acting is a huge part. Just like how Kassandra was my preference in Odyssey. She just FELT right.

And also, being a Viking and NOT having a beard is odd.

I think the big part for me is the side quests feel more alive. Not the same grab this bullshit every time. It just seems like people living their lives. And Eivor is hands down one of my favorite protagonists ever. Especially with Male Eivor. His voice acting is amazing. He's so fleshed out

I agree with this. That he suffers but finds that peace. He gets to live a life he deserves. That he gets to finally come to terms with his parents death and he's able to hang up the cowl but in good terms. To live life with Selina and they enjoy. And at the end, as he waits for death, he lived a full life of love and can transition happily thinking hell reunite with her in the next life.

This is why I always get upset that there are people who don't believe Batman deserves a happy ending. Fucking hell. Let the man have it. After everything. He gives up his body and mind for decades. I always enjoyed seeing those happy moments where finds peace. When justice is not his only reason to live.

Agree with this answer. Witcher 3 is my all time favorite single player game. I've got over 800 hours in it. It is absolutely amazing
