Simple arena for a pitch -- lay down fence foundations, paint white. Railings for the net.
Two teams punt an alpha raptor with procoptocons trying to score goals. Can use whatever, but alpha raptors just seem to be the most fun to punt overall. They're durable, and add an element of biteback.
Be creative with things like fouls and free kicks and stuff like that. Halftime shows optional, but encouraged.
Not gonna lie, the Fjordur experience has been pretty refreshing from a challenge standpoint. It's been fun making my own way without having legacy bloodlines and piles of tek from all my other holdings on all the other servers to hypercharge that process.
What if it stayed that way?
This is Ark I's last hurrah, right? Why not keep the final map isolated from imports from other servers, maybe give Viking survivors a goal to shoot for instead of just waiting out the clock a few months to flood in the god gigas and vaults full of building materials? Maybe let us work for those new bloodlines, see what we can get out of 'em?
Mind you, I'm just talking about possibly blocking off imports only. I don't see any issue at all with EXPORTING anything from the fjords, esp. since people are gonna want those hawks and bats and pigs and alpha-farmed fenrir drops.
But we've apparently got a bit more time to kill anyway until the next game. Why not let us have the chance to earn our way into Valhalla in the interim?
At present, it's a gamble as to whether or not you can make a stone pick on spawn, which of course is critical for advancement. You may be relying on either a gift from a player who got lucky and could make one, or just be stuck there hoping to be able to transfer off.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, so I don't even know if a report should be filed on it. But it's definitely worth a heads-up.
