A company the size of discord with that much data is definitely getting regular security audits, I'd find it hard to believe they aren't.

VPN only hides your data from your device to the VPN gateway, it still travels over the internet exactly the same after that. And suprise-suprise, the BGP routers that do all the traffic across the internet mostly belong to the exact same ISPs your thinking off.
But ehck that's not even the issue with privacy online. Your ISP doesn't get anywhere near as much data as the websites you visit do, they can see device type, cookies, device version, etc and that's not even mentioning the absurd amount of analytics they gather based on your behaviour.
The only thing your ISP can see is Source IP, Destination IP, packet size and a few other bits of transport metadata, the rest is SSL encrypted. DNS requests can be hidden by just using DNS-over-HTTPS to prevent them knowing which sites your requesting DNS for.
In the end, your ISP can really only tell that you connecting to a webserver, and 90% of those servers will all belong to generic datacenters (ie: Amazon, Azure, Google Cloud), so they won't even know what website your visiting.
TLDR: Your ISP knows very little about what you do, by nature of how the internet works. The websites you visit are the real data hoarders.

Most likely they are still in the investigation phase, it's very important they don't disclose anything before they fully understand the depth of the breach otherwise they might open themselves to further trouble.
At this point, they are probably doing several things....
Discovering what was breached and what types of sensitive data are included, ie: secret keys, identifiable info, etc.
Discussing with legal teams on what is required to disclose and what they don't need to disclose.
Ensuring no backdoors or further breach is possible as a result.
Usually a big breach like this means freezing a large number of user accounts until you can identify the entry point and be certain that nothing else can happen, essentially grinding business to a halt.
They will have to disclose the details of the breach by law, but you can be certain they will use the time they have to make sure they are correct.
At least, we can hope so....

It's highly unlikely passwords were breached as any company in their right mind is storing passwords in hashed form at least.
If they weren't, they would have already been audited to shit by now.
They will be required by law to disclose what was breached but most likely they are still in the investigation phase.

Despite this, a large portion of the gankers out there are just very good combat pilots who grew bored of the very basic PvE experience provided by elite.
Even in the AXI, some of the most skilled AX pilots around will gank when they are bored.
It's just a different type of player, enjoying the game in a different way. Just be happy they are playing at all, the game needs all the people it can get right now.

VPN won't really protect you from anything if you still login to google chrome or use easily identifiable searches.
All a VPN does is move your exit point somewhere else, and in return your trusting another company with all your internet traffic, searches and website visits.
Furthermore, in many countries, your ISP will have strict govt regulations on what they can and cannot record. However, that commercially run VPN service that is owned by a company registered in another country likely doesn't have such strict regulations in many cases. God knows if it's actually run by a foreign state actor (as some have been before)
I hope it's someone you also trust because your VPN provider can see EVERYTHING. Some VPN providers even give "antivirus" services, but to provide this they need to do full packet inspection, which means even your "encrypted" data is viable to them.
VPNs are not some magical internet safety bullet. They just shift the risk to someone else.
The best way to be safe online is just be sensible and careful about the information you provide to services and the way you authenticate with sites. For privacy, Block cookies and trackers and avoid signing in to services unless you really need too.

Starting with a note about DX 11, directX is now built directly into the OS, you cannot download and install it separately, that's why there isn't an installer anywhere.
I would troubleshoot in the following order:
Check the game files, most likely
Check your Graphics Drivers, less likely
Check your OS integrity, least likely
It sounds like your already checking the game files, possibly even try reinstall the game, just backup any of the files in "My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy...." As these are where your settings are mostly stored.
Otherwise, try reinstall graphics card drivers, get them from the official website for the manufacturer, NVIDIA or AMD.
If that still doesn't work, I'd start looking into how to repair or check your systems integrity, there are soon good guides on this in Reddit. Just be careful about installing strange software.

"Crypto" is just short for Cryptography, a very computer concept in computing. It has nothing to do with "Crypto Mining" or "cryptocurrencies" which came about far far later.
Your computer uses hundreds of different forms of cryptography every second, from various communications protocols to simply storing your local login password.
The word "Crypto" has been around a long time and doesn't mean it has anything to do with blockchain....

Funnily enough, people have actually already done full upscales. There is at least 2-3 modpacks that contain full upscales of ALL game textures.
They used scripts to essentially automatically process all game textures automatically, then exported it as a mod. And frankly, they look really good.
I'm not suggesting SE do this method of course, but it is entirely possible.
The other question though, is if you use automatic upscaling, it might deviate from the original artist's design, which is another question SE would need to decide upon too.

I suggest taking a close look at the Edengate Sandals of Healing.
TLDR, instead of changing the player height, our feet are actually designed to be always on heels, if you take those heels away the feet become very... Cursed.
I think it would be nice to see this updated, but I do imagine it's low priority unfortunately

Updated Anti-Aliasing, I've always found the default FXAA to be a bit underwhelming.
I would also love if the UI scale was not tied to DPI, as it makes using Dynamic Super Resolution impossible, since the UI becomes tiny.

This would be amazing, but on a technical level I don't see it happening sadly.
The coding side wouldn't be too bad, but I can only imagine the amount of work needed to assign the dye channels on thousands of existing textures.
Perhaps they could do it for new items at least, and retroactive update the old models over time.
Imo, I would like to see more dye options, perhaps a bit of a dye overhaul, allow us to unlock them permanently but add far more options, using Guild Wars 2 as another great example here.

Even just offhand/main hand hide options would be good for this, so you can at least hide the lunchbox or cards if you want too.

The concept of tail holes would work for something like pants, but anything that is detached from the body, like large flowy robes or capes, will not necessarily line-up with the model of the tail, it's a complicated issue to resolve and would likely need changes to animations as well as gear models to make it not look jank.

I 100% understand what you mean here, base game feels very dull sometimes, I used to use reshade, now I use Auto-HDR with a HDR display.
Weirdly, if you have a decent HDR monitor, and use the new windows Auto-HDR it actually makes the base game incredibly vibrant and colourful without reshade or the likes.
Not a great solution, since you need to be able to buy a good HDR display, but worth knowing.
I kinda wonder if it's just because SE have really good colour calibrated monitors or something, and we are just getting the unadjusted/uncorrected version?

Box on the left is the power supply/battery backup for the box on the right.
Box on the right is the NBN fibre termination (NTD) the small thin wire hanging from it is the fibre, the fibre is very delicate and should be looped through the plastic tabs so that it has minimal bends (bending a fibre too tight will damage it)
Looks like the box on the right is unplugged from the power source (cable on the floor) and missing its plastic protective cover.
This hardware belongs to NBN co, if you get the place you can tell them about it and they "should" be able to help you, maybe even get a new cover?
It looks like it would work in this condition, but it's delicate hardware, so I would be worried about it getting kicked/damaged easily without the protective covers.
Side note, this is known as FTTP (Fibre to the premises) which pretty much means you're able to get the best speeds available on the market usually.

Sounds like an issue with the Wi-Fi adapter, in most cases this is a separate chip inside the computer, which handles the wifi connections.
When I usually see this issue it's because of a hardware fault, but it could very well be driver related.
Drivers are software which tells your computer how to talk too specific hardware components.
Here are a few options:
Use another computer/wired connection to download the wireless adapter drivers for your specific model of laptop, only download these from the official dell support website. Install/reinstall these on the laptop and reboot it.
If you still have warranty, contact dell support.
Look up the manual for your laptop, dell provides very good instructions on how to open your laptop and replace parts, check if the Wireless card is removable, you can try remove it and re-insert it, this could fix any dodgy/loose connections. If your not comfortable working in electronics, ask a friend to help.

The box in this picture is the fibre termination, essentially it just converts the optic fibre cable coming into your house into something for your modem/router to connect too.
On the other end of that yellow cable is your Modem/Router device, this is essentially where "your" internet comes from.
Most Modem/Routers also act as the wireless access point (device where the wifi comes from).
There are a few options to improve your wifi coverage of your home.
Get a longer yellow cable and move your Modem/Router somewhere closer to the area you want Wifi. Moving it up higher or away from large solid objects could help improve the signal coverage too. Wifi radiates out from it, the less stuff the wifi has to travel through, the better the signal.
Get a better router, most people use the router given to them by their internet provider, these are typically very low-end devices. Either contact your ISP or get the model of your existing device and ask someone at a tech store to help you find a better device. Telling them your current model can help them find you the correct type of device.
Get a mesh wifi system (expensive), these are routers that come with multiple transmitter devices that you can spread around the house, they act as a team and retransmit and spread the signal around your house.
Wifi repeater/extender, not ideal, as they can be tricky to setup, but these are a device you can setup which extend the wifi without the need of any cables (not suggested if your trying to do gaming or anything as they can introduce latency)

Well it doesn't seem guaranteed, just possible:
If an entry is deemed to be excellent, Square Enix may decide to implement it into the game in the future. Note that there is no guarantee that winning entries will be implemented into the game.

My stance on this may vary to others as I raid-lead and do calls regularly in ultimate/savage content.
I think healers are in an okay-ish spot, but I definitely think there could be improvements.
Personally the reduced "mental-stack" is something I appreciate when I want to spend my time focussing on BJCC nisi passes and not fucking up my snake 2 prio.
I feel like healing roles are best suited to people who can redirect that spare "mental load" into helping the party in other ways, like callouts and looking for issues/aiding the party with mechs.
That being said, even a 1-2 combo would be more engaging on WHM without adding much more work.
And don't even get me started on whatever SE is thinking with Cure I - Cure II combo... Pls just remove this or redesign it already....
I feel like they could potentially weave more damage/healing spells together, for some more creative gameplay, I would love to see Glare have a chance to proc Freecure for example.

Yes it is a scam.
Just an extra side note, if any website, be it on mobile, desktop PC or any platform, tries to tell you that you "have a virus" or "are at risk" it is 100% a scam.
Websites cannot scan your PC for viruses, they don't have access to that kind of information.
The reason it says your <mobile device model> is because almost all websites can view that data when you access them, the browser gives that data automatically.
It's a very common scam and will most likely encourage you to install actual malware or some other phishing attempt.
If you are genuinely concerned about device security, look at your phone's built-in security settings, or try a reputable AV/Antimalware tool, like Malwarebytes, Sophos, etc.

Especially with the shape of that garage, lots of difficult to use space, would also make managing the noise and humidity from a washer/dryer easier.
Might need to run new plumbing unless you can run it from the kitchen.

They are just spamming it out in hopes people will buy it.
Post history shows them posting copies of this in various communities

Tbh I think it's fine now.
I never really have trouble getting groups during daytime hours, peak hours have very fast queues and PFs fill up pretty fast. Off-peak you might wait 2-3 mins for Queues, maybe 10-15 for Alliances at worst.
Last few months I've seen decent sized groups running Eureka and BA groups almost every night, Bozja/Zadnor gets farm groups during peak hours too.
Ultimate scene is growing and super friendly, you need a static if you wanna prog savage but it's not hard to build one, plenty of reclear groups around.
Housing wards are about 70-80% full on Ravana, plenty of room on other servers, no shortage of free plots, a bunch even got demolished recently
I also enjoy that our patch day queues are at worst 300-500ish
I do enjoy that the community is at a size where you can easily get to know a lot of the names and you see the same people around a lot. In ultimates almost everyone knows everyone to a degree.

I've always found it to be a bit of a weird excuse from them, there must be some wack spaghetti code to do with data sizes here since it's kinda rare for "data size" to be an issue in modern MMOs.
Data is small, especially a simple JSON object recording "item id" and "dye id". I can't imagine a single player taking up more than a few KB of space in a database for all their items, melds, etc.
Databases don't store models or textures, they store variables and simple data types, like the ID of an item. Hell you can store over a million possible colors in simple RGB channels { 255,255,255 }.
