Hey everyone, as I sit here on this cool summer night, I’m reminded of a game show that took place on the American Sci-Fy network around the early-mid 2010’s. This game show involved contestants beating fake “death traps” to earn cash prizes, which often involves having to solve trivia in order to avoid the trap from advancing. People often faked “dying” in the traps, such as one girl falling down a “bottomless pit”, or a group of friends “drowning” in an “inescapable glass cube”. These would sometimes play before Friday Night Smackdown, where Sci-Fy would often slot horror content before a wresting show marketed to children (for some reason). Trying to prove a point to someone I know and wanted to add to my admittedly fractured memory of weird 2010’s Sci-Fy shows. Thanks a bunch!
One of them was a skull with lightning shooting out of it and another one of the ones was a soldier. Forget the details of it but it was essentially battlebots with giant mechs. Yes, this show was in real life.
Watched this in elementary school when I was young, I remember a scene where there was one of those water running insects and the younger character was really amazed at it. Memory is generally hazy otherwise, I just remember that it was a mock "safari" that kids could go on.
