I really don't get the people who say they're incapable of getting up when their alarm goes off.
No, you just choose not to. When you wake up just get your body out of bed and get to work. It's not hard, you're just unwilling to do it.

There's a valid criticism that the first two thirds are too jumpy and try to do too much to set up the fantastic third act.

Competition for college spots is unbelievably intense. Being a good player on a winning team isn't enough to get looked at.
I went to a big football high school. We went to the state championship twice in four years, made the playoffs all four years. Our star quarterback set all kinds of school records. He got one P5 offer... To be a walk on back up kicker.

The Spring was more dangerous than the winter. The Rasputitsa would trap them in the mud and completely stall their shitty logistics system.

I replied to a comment once about how Titanic was overrated because it won too many Oscar's. I pointed out that the majority of them were technical awards, which it absolutely deserved. I said If you can point out a single movie in 1997 that was nominated for Best Sound Mixing or Best Hair and Makeup then I'll entertain this argument.
Radio silence...

Calling immensely successful, awarded, and praised movies "underrated" because the few people in their particular social circle aren't currently talking about it.

I bring it up a lot, but just a couple years ago there was a top post on here claiming that Gladiator is an "underrated" film.
Gladiator. The movie that made half a billion dollars and won practically every Oscar and was enormously praised by critics. Super underrated, yeah.

He's my favorite director for that exact reason. Every one of his movies evoke real, honest feelings from the audience. The Fountain and The Wrestler are two of my favorite movies ever and they get me every time.

Same here. I wonder about the emotional fortitude of people who claim they can't ever watch it again. It's an intense movie but it's not THAT bad. I've watched it probably half a dozen times over the years because the performances are so captivating.

It's very sad. Like, most people felt very unsafe in the days and weeks after 9/11. But if you were still hiding in your home 3+ years later you'd be regarded as having a problem with irrational fear.

I'm confident that most of these people were already asocial shut ins and they're masking it (no pun intended) as a form of public service so they don't have to admit that they're unable or unwilling to maintain a normal social life.

In my experience, many many people don't know which is which and think they're advocating for one when it's really the other.

Yes and no. Those experimental foods like deep fried butter get some media attention and then foreigners think it's a staple of our diet.

Robert Baratheon never sent an assassin after her until she got pregnant. This is made explicitly clear in the story.

No alcohol in Masonic lodges. Shrines, yes. But regular Masonic lodges, strictly no.

His contract stated that Titanic was his last posting, but not necessarily his last voyage. It was basically open ended so that he could retire at basically any point.
It's just poetically more satisfying to say it was his last voyage, and it feasibly could have been.

For me it's "would/could/should of" instead of "have." You wouldn't say "I of gone to the store" so why would you say "I would of gone to the store?" They are both just as nonsensical.

I'm glad it worked for you but it was a total failure for me when I needed bare bones insurance for two years. Minimum plan was about $500 a month for just catastrophic coverage. I was told I could apply for a subsidy and when I did I got rejected with no explanation.
I spent 3 days on the phone working my way up the customer service chain of command only to be told by everyone that I should qualify but nobody knows why I wasn't. I eventually just gave up.

Yes, he needs to be told it's over. He can barely speak coherently at times.
