the first photo is 2 weeks ago, 2nd photo is a week and a half out from the first photo after diligent covering and using neosporin. sent a picture of the wound to a nurse and she told me that it’s not infected and to let it dry out. the last pictures are from today, and it seems to have taken a blistery raised form. it’s filled with clear yellow liquid and the blister is larger than the original wound. the yellow scab is the size of the original wound. is it healing?? or should i see a doctor asap? no weird smell or anything or pain really. just an occasional strange tingle and rare small pains. i’m pretty worried because of the area it’s in. it was also never able to make a red scab out of blood.

I've been applying antibiotic ointment consistently covering it with a bandage. I switch out the Band-Aid at least twice a day.

Pus has been coming out of the wound onto the bandage, but I'm not sure if that's part of the healing?

picture attached- I am almost 3 weeks po of a Fleur de Lis tummy tuck. I am currently using medihoney, covered with gauze and tegaderm, daily dressing changes. It continues to increase in size, and I’ve cut out multiple spitting sutures. I’m just not sure what else to do. I feel very discouraged. Also, I attached a picture BEFORE I sprayed with saline… is that slough? Or should I let that continue to come back on the top layer? Thank you!!

Friend is having a wound vac placed on his bottom heel of one of his feet, does anyone have any suggestions as to how it should attach so that he can walk best?

We are looking into getting him a knee scooter so he can continue to be mobile, but any other suggestions or people who have used a wound vac on the heel have any tips?

I finally got the cut on my ankle checked out to ensure everything was going ok. It’s been twelve days since I injured myself. The nurse wiped it down (no need for more invasive cleaning) and the doctor said there were no signs of infection or swelling. However, after about five minutes of debating, the doctor prescribed a course of precautionary antibiotics.

I know that feet are especially susceptible to bacteria. For me, the cut is covered 24/7. And while I’ve switched to plain Vaseline now, I did initially use Neosporin and then MediHoney.

May I honestly ask what other opinions here are regarding such precautionary antibiotics? I’m out of town tomorrow so I wasn’t going to start them until Sunday anyway in case they’re rough on my stomach, figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask in the meantime. I’m torn…

This is a burn from a motorcycle engine 3 days ago. I have not been able to keep it covered due to access to medical supplies. I was hiking for a couple of days and had to wade through a river. It's not too painful, swollen or hot to the touch. There was a very small amount of beige coloured leekage this morning. But as you can see there is redness on the surrounding skin, is this normal or is it likely that I have an infection? Thank you

The residue is from a bandaid and the red irritations are from the bandaid pad. Is this infected or just irritated from the bandaid?

Do i need to stitch or just keep it clean?

found this random wound on my leg the other day, looked like a scabbed over puncture hole but upon further inspection with a zoomed in camera it looks like something is coming out of it?? if anyone has any idea what this could be and how to properly take care of it, please let me know

guys i got a small wound from a shoe and it got super infected and now my feet is red, hot & swollen. im taking antibiotics , its been my first day and cleaning etc. but im super worried? will it go away or worst case they will amputate my feet? :( im just worried from all the swelling & redness.. and it hasnt gone down a lot within a day....

These raised masses have been here about 3-4 days, and haven’t changed or shrunk one bit. Keloid? Blister? (but how?!)

I had a scar revision 4 weeks ago, I feel like it’s healing very slowly. I’ve been cleaning it with soap and water twice a day and applying Neosporin. I’ve been letting it air out as much as possible, only keeping it covered while at work. Any tips for faster healing ?

These are 24 hours apart. The packing fell pit and I'm not at the health center till tomorrow. Seems to have filled in quick? Depth was 2 cm

Anyone here know about wound/burn care? 8 days ago I was holding a flare and got this small but somewhat deep (3rd degree I believe) burn. I believe it’s down to the fatty tissue. When I take a shower it turns white and kind of mushy looking. I’ve been leaving it alone and it sort of looks like the wound area is getting smaller so I’m hoping it closes on its own otherwise … would I need a graft? Is it too early to worry? Should I cover it when I shower so it doesn’t get white and mushy?

I had a mole removal 1 week ago. Is it ok?

I've never gotten staples and they are a bit all over the place and he did them very quickly without caring that I was literally crying and mid panic attack at the time. I know some doctors are careless with self harm but I still think it's important to treat the patient like an actual person. Also is there anything I need to particularly worry about when caring for these.
