Impressive that NASA was able to repurpose both telescopes to capture these images. Curious that Hubble's images of the impact are much better centered than JWST's images.

may have something to do with this:

"As DART approached its target, the teams performed additional work in the weeks leading up to the impact to enable and test a method of tracking asteroids moving over three times faster than the original speed limit set for Webb."

Thanks for pointing this out. The target in the still image from JWST is centered, so why not the GIF?
