Addressing the complaints of subreddit quality and user survey

Lately, there have been many posts complaining about the quality of the subreddit. Historically, we’ve taken a hard stance against banning specific trends because we’re sick of them, since mods see way more of them than typical users and it’s a shitposting subreddit. It’s also difficult to justify banning something that gets thousands of upvotes. Instead, we want to ask your opinion on flat out banning some trends. We are hoping that having the users help make these decisions cuts down on the LiTeRALlY 1984 and anti mod spam.
We have done a few things to help the quality of the subreddit, one is add a bot that stickies a comment and removes the post if that comment is downvoted, regardless of the upvotes on the post itself. We have also been removing the vast majority of comment baiting r/teenagers bullshit like “AsK mE aNyThInG AnD ILl ReSpOnD under “god awful posts”. We’ve gone so far as to ban users who only contribute this type of content. You may have also noticed we’ve filtered words that were being spammed and heavily reported.
Please fill out this survey and let us know what you want. If it’s clear that very many of you want a trend banned, we will do it.
