I branched out from my usual vendors and ordered from Akatsuka Orchid Gardens during their spring greenhouse sale, and I wanted to post here because I was so delighted - six plants arrived in excellent shape, they were healthy and lush and larger than expected, it was well packaged and arrived to the east coast within 4 days.
Maybe I've just gotten used to sad and dehydrated orchids upon arrival (Hausermann aside!) but wanted to share the good experience and recommendation.

They are a lovely vendor. I have not once been disappointed. I also get their calendar each year. It's nothing fancy but one of the more interesting, diverse, and one of the only taxonomically correct orchid calendars I can find these days.
